Pet care experience
I grew up with both cats and dogs in the house, and love animals of all shapes and sizes, but I’m particularly enthusiastic about cats 🐱I have done pet-sitting for friends and family many times, but I’m new to offering it via Rover, and will be doing cat specific drop-in services. I currently have a Persian x Birman cat called Herbie who I’m totally devoted to, so I have experience with long-haired and purebred cats. I am responsible and honest, and will always put your cats health and happiness first. I know how hard it is to leave your kitty for trips and holidays, so I’ll be more than happy to send lots of pictures and updates, if you’d like 🥰

Ella is a fantastic pet caregiver (and person!) who goes above and beyond in her responsibilities. Ella has taken care of my cat, Tilly, on numerous occasions and has been wonderful with caring for her whilst I've been away. Tilly is sixteen years old and on oral medication, so she's a little trickier than your average cat, but Ella was patient, confident, and careful with everything she did when looking after Tilly. She came in twice a day at the same consistent time to check on Tilly and she made sure that Tilly was looked after and spoilt with attention with every visit. I was completely at peace knowing that Tilly was being cared for by Ella, and I was not worried in the slightest when it came to food/water/meds/play! Ella is definitely Tilly's firm favourite human and catsitter, and I can't disagree with Tilly.

I offer cat specific drop-in services. During these visits, I will be trustworthy and diligent, arriving within our agreed time windows and taking care to leave your property tidy and secure. Aside from the essential care tasks (cleaning litter trays, changing water, feeding) I will let your cat take the lead on what they’d like from me - whether that’s a fuss and a cuddle, a play, or simply for me to come in quietly and calmly to see to their needs.

Ahead of taking care of your cat, please let me know about their diet and feeding instructions, any medication they might need, any grooming that’s required, and their typical routine. I would love to hear a about their personalities too, so I can make sure I’m giving them sufficient attention and enrichment!
A typical day
After taking care of your cats essential needs (feeding, litter tray, water, any medication), I will spend time with them, either giving them a stroke and a fuss (if they want that) or playing with their toys. Before I leave, I’ll make sure to take some pictures of your cat/ cats and send you an update so you know they’re being well taken care of.

Availability
I am a PhD student who teaches during term time. I’m opening my calendar for cat drop-ins over the summer vacation (mid May, June, July and August). Over these months I’m totally flexible with times and days of the week. I have a full UK driving license and my own transport which increases my flexibility for drop-ins.
