It’s important for me to know things including the following - Is your pet good with other dogs? Are they reactive in any way? Do they have any allergies or medications during visits? What does their routine look like? Do they like rainy or cold or hot weather? Does anything trigger them in particular? What is their exercise level? What games or toys do they like? Do they try to escape? Is there any resource guarding? Do they show any aggressive behaviors and if so what are they? Are they house trained? Are they crate trained? What do they need during the visit? Do they need a crate or bed during their visit? Do they tend to chew or damage furniture?

I like going to a small dog park if there is one near by. I like to get as much energy out as possible during the visit if that means playing fetch or playing with ONE other dog. There are also lots of smells and gives room for some nose work. Nose work can be just as tiring as physical work for dogs! I will sometimes play games on walks for mental stimulation like basic obedience commands and games! I like to end the visit with play time with toys and a treat!
