I'll LOVE your dog when you're away

Pet care experience

I have had dogs my entire life and I currently have two beautiful dogs. I have done a lot of work with rescues over the last 20 years and have spent a great deal of time working with and caring for friends' dogs as well. Outside of pups, I’ve also had several cats and have fostered and cared for many cats that were considered difficult to adopt or had special needs. I also have extensive experience caring for horses. Up until recently I had three horses and I have been riding for the last 15 years. I would love to be able to watch someone's barn for them and care for the horses while they are either vacationing or at a horse show! I’m excited to work with Rover because it allows me to follow my dream to have a career working with animals. I love meeting new dogs and spending time with them and making new fur friends is absolutely terrific! Dogs are pure joy -- they are a gift that's been given to us humans to help sweeten our lives. For me, it is so much fun to watch them play and live in the moment. I enjoy spending time with them, whether it's playing, walking with them, or just giving a well deserved belly rub! It's a true win/win situation for me to be able to have a career in something I am so passionate about. I always try to include my dogs in the activities I participate in if at all possible. If your pup was in my care and wanted a furry companion to come along for a hike, I know one or both of my dogs would love to join us! I love it when dogs get excited for their walks, and you can be sure that will will hit the area’s parks and trails. I live near Chubb Park, which is great for dog walking and Patriots’ Path has fantastic walking trails for dogs. In addition to getting our exercise, I cherish cuddling with pups on the couch, giving belly rubs or paw massages. It truly warms my heart to be with them. Every dog in my care will get the absolute best that I have to offer. It is a tremendous honor to care for anyone's dog, and I realize this is someone's family member so first and foremost I will do everything I can to let the dog's parents know they can rest easily while they are away. I will communicate with them via text messages and pictures to let them know all is well. I will make certain that I have a very detailed plan, knowing what all of your dog’s needs and preferences are so I can provide the best possible care. Whether it's an afternoon walk or a week-long stay, I think it's extremely important that I let every owner know what their pup is doing and that they are happy! I value people and their animals and my actions are guided for the respect I have for both.

Elizabeth first & foremost loves & respects all animals. Their care is of the utmost importance to her, which has lead to her becoming extremely knowledgeable about their health & well-being. Her special attention & skills allows her to notice things that others often do not and offer insight. I would entrust my animals to Elizabeth's care b/c she would treat them as her own.

Elizabeth is very knowledgeable about not only dog behavior, but also nutrition and various healing methods. If she lived closer to me, she'd be taking care of my dog and my friends' dogs too. As a very responsible person, you can always count on her to be on time and ready to take good care of your animal.

Information Elizabeth W. would like to know about your pet

I like to schedule a meet and greet with all new potential clients. I like to greet a new pup with special treats they are sure to love (as long as I have parental approval!) and spend plenty of time getting to know them by petting them, giving belly rubs and letting them sniff me. I think it's very important to allow the dog(s) to become familiar with me while their parents are present, and I can learn all about what your dog needs, what their preferences are, feeding schedule and things they can or can’t eat. I also like to know what their favorite activities are, their energy level and if there is anything special I need to know that will assure their comfort and happiness while their family is away. I do not have any breed preference or restrictions.

A typical day

I am able to modify my schedule around the pets I am caring for on any given day. I love taking walks with pups and there are loads of nearby parks and trails. We can head over to Chubb Park or hit the trails Patriots' Path. I love spending time with my dogs and I always try to include my dogs in the activities I participate in if at all possible. I want to make sure that I know what your pup likes to do and I will work that into our routine, whether it’s spending lots of time outdoors or spending more leisurely time just hanging out.
