I have volunteered at my local humane society for over a decade and have been involved in animal rescue since college. I am a pet mama to 3 rescue dogs and a Siamese cat. I have also worked with dogs who have physical disabilities and medical conditions.

I really think Elizabeth will be an excellent addition to your caregiving team. I’ve known her almost her life, as my mother was her babysitter years ago, and we’ve become friends over the years. I am so proud of the woman she has become; particularly for her advocacy for the rescue of pets. She has rescued a number of dogs and cats in her life, and all get first-rate care and limitless love. She has also been so supportive with my beagle rescues. She has not been a caregiver for them yet, but I wouldn’t hesitate to have her care for my furbabies. In fact, she’d be the first one I’d call, and I’m very picky about my beagles!
You know those shirts that say "tell your dog I said hi"? That is truly Elizabeth, she's never met a doggo that she didn't love. And when I say love, I mean instantly treating the pupper like they're one of her own herd. Elizabeth will give your pupper the same amount of love and care as you give your 4 legged family member.
Liz is the most responsible dog owner that I know. I wish she lived closer because she'd be be my go-to dog sitter. She has experience with dogs with a variety of health issues and handles them with ease.

I am used to long walks with my dogs and enjoy working with a range of personalities, particularly the shy dogs. My dogs are used to being crated at night and I am comfortable leashing up, harnessing, and crating dogs.

It is helpful for me to know as much as possible about your dog's personality and how they are outside the home, particularly if we will be walking. Examples: are they reactive towards other dogs, people, or cars? If your dog has favorite toys or treats, especially if they are shy, it's always good to know how I can help them warm up to me.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks around town and to nearby parks. I used to compete with one of my dogs in agility and if you have the equipment, I'm happy to play!

Availability
I am on a semester-long sabbatical from my academic position and now have a very flexible schedule from January-August 2022. I will be unavailable Monday afternoons and all-day Tuesdays.
