Great with Cats and Dogs!
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Elizabeth! I have a dog and two cats of my own, so plenty of experience with animals. Before I adopted my dog (4 years ago), I also volunteered at a local animal shelter. One of my cats is older and has an extensive medical history, so I have experience working with older animals and recognizing warning signs of illness in cats (which can sometimes be hard to spot). I'd love to help watch your pets while you're away, or just when you have a late night getting home. My schedule is flexible on weekdays as well as on weekends, and I'd be happy to discuss any special requests. Does your dog like companionship? I could bring my dog along for our visit if that would be helpful! Wallace is great with other dogs. I have experience administering oral medication to cats (and to dogs that don't require extra work--the peanut butter/cheese trick works great for mine!).
Reviews
Elizabeth was a wonderful sitter and I would definitely use her again! I was quite nervous, leaving my two kitties alone for the first time. She was very professional, on-time, and invested in taking care of my furry babies. I loved getting my daily pictures and updates, so I knew they were well taken care of!
Elizabeth provides the best most detailed updates! She is so great and the cats love her more than we do!! :)
Elizabeth was such a fantastic pet sitter! My husband and I were away for our wedding and honeymoon and Elizabeth took really excellent care of our cat. She provided really thorough updates (with plenty of pictures) at the end of each visit and was always very prompt! Thanks to Elizabeth, I don’t think our cat missed us too much (if at all) while we were away :)
This was my first Rover visit and I think my cat loved it! I enjoyed meeting Elizabeth and getting my Rover cards. Thanks again!

Information Elizabeth P. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know how your dog behaves on a leash and if there are any situations I need to look out for/avoid. How are they when approaching other dogs? Are there any commands you'd like us to practice during my visit? For cats, I'd like to know what kind of human interaction your cat prefers--do they just want to hang out on my lap during the visit? Do they have a favorite toy? Are there certain things I should do to engage them? I'll spend 30 minutes with your pet, but if they're shy and want to be left alone, I'll give them space. I typically turn on music or audiobooks while pet-sitting to provide aural stimulation, which I think is important for pets hanging out alone while you're away!
A typical day
I'm happy to walk your dog around your neighborhood or in a nearby park. And of course, give them plenty of fun opportunities to smell things! Drop-ins include a bathroom break outside (depending on owner preference) and some fun time inside to play and/or cuddle. For cats, we'll play and cuddle during my visit. For shy cats, I like to play a podcast during my visit so even if the cat doesn't want to interact, they still have some aural stimulation. I'm an expert at ear rubs and chin scratches too!
