Pet care experience
I treat all animals as if they are my own. I work from home full time, and would love to take care of your dog while you’re away. I have been caring for dogs informally since I was a kid. Formally I have worked as a dog trainer and volunteered at various shelters and animal hospices over the years. I will do everything I can to help your dog feel safe and loved. I have a large fenced back yard for playing and exercising. I can stick to your provided care plan to keep their normal routine.

Dakota's stay was awesome! He was well cared for and had lots of playing time with Zelda in the large fenced in yard. Got lots of pictures throughout his stay, which was a comfort knowing he was happy while we were away. Would definitely have Dakota stay there again!
Elizabeth and her family did a great job taking care of Bodhi for the night! He loved playing with Zelda and the kids in their fenced in yard. I was given updates and pictures which put me at ease.

Dogs have free roam in our house so no crate is needed unless requested. We allow dogs on the couch for lots of cuddles. I have two children (5 & 8) who also love dogs. I also have a dog of my own who ADORES other dogs and will be your dog’s companion during their stay. She is a Great Dane, so she is XL- she has met dogs equally as large and as small as 8 lbs and gets along great with all sizes.

A typical day
Between me and my dog, Zelda, we will be sure to exercise and play with your dog to their heart’s content. On a typical day we are out back playing in the fenced yard. With your permission we can do walks and/or field trips (hiking for example)

Availability
Since I work from home, your dog will have lots of exercise time in our large fenced yard. Walks can be provided upon request. If you and your dog are comfortable going for hikes, that is a typical weekend activity for us.
