Trustworthy and reliable pet sitter

Pet care experience

Hey y'all, my name is Elizabeth and I have spent my whole life around animals. I have been a Rover sitter for a few years now, and I absolutely love the opportunity to take care of a variety of fur babies. Growing up, we always had family dogs, and we were fosters for a local shelter for a couple years. Fostering allowed me to develop confidence with a variety of breeds and age groups from a young age. I began dogsitting and dog walking around my neighborhood on a frequent basis in middle school and continued through high school. During this time, my family had a senior corgi mix and we adopted a shepherd mix puppy, which allowed me to become skilled at walking multiple dogs with different needs / paces at once. I gained experience providing training and teaching basic commands and tricks when we adopted the puppy, and I’ve kept up with this experience through rover and my roommate’s dog. My family dog is a rescue with incontinence issues, so I have become proficient in providing medicine orally. Through Rover, I have gained experience providing other dogs, and cats, with oral medicine as well. I also have experience with doggy diapers, as my dog went through a few phases where she needed to wear them, and experience with previous clients as well. I have experience with many other species, including horses, chickens, and cats. In high school, there were a few stray cats in my neighborhood that we took in for a few months before finding them permanent homes. My senior year of college, I had a long-term foster cat and lived with two others that I frequently took care of when my roommates were out of town. I have now adopted two cats of my own and love them with my whole heart.

Elizabeth is awesome! She helped our dogs with their anxiety when we were gone and dealt with all their quirks. She gave us daily updates and we were confident they were in great hands when we were gone.

Elizabeth made a great impression on my skeptical Poms. On time & on point with their care. We came home to 3 happy dogs, the parents and pups 100% recommend Elizabeth.

We were so impressed with Elizabeth! We have four dogs and one is an ornery puppy.. so she definitely had her work cut out for her but she handled everything with ease. She asked really good questions during the meet-and-greet and gave really helpful updates during her stay. Her attention to detail was obvious in the questions she asked during her stay as well. The girls seemed happy and relaxed when we got home, and she followed all of our (many) instructions- specifics around dominance with four female dogs, two active breed dogs, two senior dogs who take meds, two dogs who are anxious, one who is a major rascal sock-eater... all during a tropical storm weekend. Thank you! We hope you're available to watch the girls again in the future!

I want you and your pets to feel comfortable, so whether it's letting them out in the backyard to play or taking them on a long walk, I'm willing to do it all. My apartment does not allow pets that aren't on the lease, so I am available for drop-ins, walking, or house-sitting in your home.

Information Elizabeth S. would like to know about your pet

I'd love to know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors I should be aware of ahead of time. I'd also like to know their typical activities so I can make sure to keep them happy in their home while you're away. I love any and all pets, and have no breed or size preferences!

A typical day

I want to make sure your pets have fun and are comfortable while you're away, so I try to stay as close to their normal routine as possible! Whether it's feeding and going for a walk before work, playing in the backyard, or having a lazy nap on the couch kind of day, I aim to make sure your pets have the best time while I'm watching them! In a typical day, I also try to send at least one update and picture (unless you have requested something else)

Availability

Monday-Friday, I work 8-5 at my office job in between Southwest Raleigh and Cary. If you’re located about 20 minutes from my office, I am able to pop in to check on your pets during my lunch break. My cats are pretty low maintenance, so if I am pet sitting for you, I would just need to pop back by my place to clean their litter box and give them their bonus meal. They love my roommate and her dog, so even when I’m not home they are rarely by themselves. Other than that, I am flexible to be at your home when needed! I’m not one for going out, so on the weekends, pretty much the only time I’d need to be away is to grocery shop / meal prep on Sundays, and to go clean my cats litter box. If I have something else planned on a requested weekend, I disclose it during the booking process :)
