The Best Care For Your Best Friends
Pet care experience
A few years ago, I returned from a family holiday to find my home ransacked. My two dogs and two cats were traumatized, my home was smelly and gross, my personal belongings clearly rifled through, and money and jewelry were stolen. The house looked like a college party had taken place. This was done to us by our pet sitters. At that moment, I decided that I would create a service that would provide my clients with the trust and confidence to leave their home that I didn't have. I created Hawkeye Petcare so that folks could feel safe. I provide top-of-the-line services for customers seeking a responsible, educated and safety-first petcare professional. I have been trained in basic medical care for dogs and cats including emergency first response. I can administer most medications, and am familiar with fear and food aggressive dogs as well as the craziest of cats. I also provide dog training services for those looking to help their buddies learn new tricks (and yes, old dogs and learn new tricks). I've raised thousands of dollars in funds for rescue organizations across the US and my love for animals will always put them first. I've cared for both animals and children for my entire life, have worked in schools and with rescue organizations transporting shelter dogs to the vet and providing food and blankets for shelter kitties. Each new animal I work with I consider a friend, each home I am entrusted with I treat as a place to be secured for the sake of the animal and homeowners' peace of mind. I provide an on-time and thorough check-in, photo update with the pet(s), basic medical check, and then I do whatever you and I discuss beforehand to make sure your animal is happy and comfy and your home is safe and secure. You will have noticed that my rates are not cheap. This is because I am not a college kid looking to make extra funds on the side and maybe invite my boyfriend to a client's house, or someone untrained to work with animals looking to supplement another job. I consider each animal and home I visit a necessity for alertness, care and concern. This is not a quality to undersell. If you want to make sure you animal is safe and your home is safe, I'm your gal.

Information Elizabeth R. would like to know about your pet
For each client, I would like to have a phone conversation, and an in-person meeting with client and dog. The idea is that we get acquainted so that when the time comes that you need to get on a plane for an emergency situation, or a wedding far away comes up, etc.., you and I have a familiar routine and your pets are totally familiar with me as their friend and helper.
A typical day
Dog walking is usually very particular to each dog, as any singular dog can be territorial, scared of an area, or skittish about certain walking methods. I go over each detail of where, when and how the dog walk happens before I take any dog on his or her first walk. Each walk is catered to that individual animal's needs. For example, if your dog is elderly and needs a certain amount of movement but not much, we might just take a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. However, if your dog is a 2 year old large breed, he or she might need running time, ball chase time, etc.. When we meet, I will take down each detail to make sure your dog's walk is the right amount of time and exercise for the animal.
