spread love and kindness! :)

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of animals since I was 5 years old. We had a dog and as I got older new pets came into our home. I currently live on a farm and have cared for farm animals for 7 years. I have 40+ animals at home so there is a lot of responsibility. I was a part of 4-H and showed hogs, dairy cattle, and pigmy goats. I learned how to care for them and making sure that the animal was healthy and doing well. I have experience caring for a variety of farm animals as well as dogs. I currently have 5 dogs at home, 2 Australian Cattle Dogs, 1 Mountain Cur, and 2 Chihuahuas.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for my farm animals by making sure that they have enough water, water is so so important for them. So filling up the water troph everyday sometimes morning and night. As well as water I make sure that if they get grain I give them the correct amounts and if new hay is needed to give them more. I have applied fly spray to my horses and cows and sunscreen on hogs. I can give oral medication as well with farm animals and dogs. With the dogs I always make sure that they have enough water and food. My dogs have a free range for food so it is set out and they eat during the day. But I also have experience with timed feeds and amounts. I make sure that when they go outside that they aren’t too hot or too cold. I also really like to make sure that the pet is not stressed or anxious. If they are experiencing anxiety or stress I try and help them by giving them love and care. If it’s situational then I will remove the pet from the stressful situation and change places. If the pet is happy that makes me happy! ☺️

Information Elizabeth Q. would like to know about your pet

Some information that I need about your furry friend ahead of time, is how much food do they eat and how often? Do they require any oral medication given? Is there treats that I can give the dog? Does the dog have potential to run away? Does the dog have regular intake of food and water or do specific events make it harder for them to get the intake in? (Due to anxiety and stress)

A typical day

I really like to go on walks and spend time outside with the dogs, they love the outdoors and I like to give them the most time outside. I also love giving them love when we get back inside by petting them and talking to them. I like to help them feel loved and cared for when watching others pets!
