Your Pet’s New Best Friend

Pet care experience

As a former stable hand, I have a large amount of experience with animals both big and small. I’ve had both dogs and cats in my home for my entire life and have experience giving both oral and injected medication. I am also CPR certified for both cats and dogs, (feel free to ask to see my certification!) with my certification updated April 2025.

Elizabeth was wonderful with Macho! You could tell from the pictures and videos that he was so happy to see her and receive some love and attention. He had just started his diabetes medication, and we felt very comfortable knowing she was there to help administer it while we were away. Thank you for spending time with our boy, Macho!

Safety, trust & environment

Whether walking your dog or giving your cat some love, my biggest priority is your pet’s health and comfort. Whatever you believe is best for your pet I will accommodate happily. For dog-walking, house-sitting, and drop-ins, I’ve seen my fair share of difficult animals and can handle all sorts of problems. I’m experienced with excitable dogs, aggressive cats, and angsty farm animals. Please just let me know the temperament of your animal before my visit and any behavior of theirs that might be concerning. This allows me to prepare beforehand to ensure that your little love-bug gets the best care possible. For boarding, I am unfortunately not taking dogs or aggressive cats at this time. I may handle chaos well, but my own kitty is a bit skittish and very afraid of pups due to the home I rescued him from. Likewise, I’d prefer not to bring cats into my household if they don’t do well with friends. My cat has a pretty perfect record when it comes to socializing, but I don’t want to cause him too much stress unnecessarily. That being said, I am more than happy to welcome friendly kitties into my home and Bottles (my cat) loves to have a play mate. I have multiple litter boxes, multiple cat trees, and separate eating spaces, but do not take in more than one little guest at a time.

Information Elizabeth P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know any health conditions, necessary medications, and the temperament of your animal before booking with me. I can work around your schedule and comfort.

A typical day

Depending on the temperament of your animal I would love to give them plenty of affection, lots of play-time, or comfort from a distance. More excitable pets will get plenty of play-time to tire them out and get their exercise in, while more timid fur babies will be approached and taken care of at their own level of comfort. If you have a cat, for example, that isn't interested in much interaction, that's totally fine. I can make sure they're doing well and feed them without infringing too much on their alone time!

I just moved to Minnesota from Ohio for law school, which I start this fall. In the meantime, I’m dedicating the majority of my schedule to rover. I do have little commitments here and there, but I’ll let you know if your date and time interfere with them at all.
