Pets are a priority, nothing less! FULLY INSURED ☑

Pet care experience

•Hello 👋, I'm Liz (lifelong animal lover)!• I am a fully insured pet minder. I've been self employed on a part-time/ad hoc basis, through Rover, since 2022 and thoroughly enjoy time with all manner of furry clients! Alongside my own personal insurance, Rover provides 'The Rover Guarantee' for each and every booking! All bookings are bespoke and the meet & greet process is 100% FREE (covers multiple M&G's if they're needed). All of my rates are carefully calculated; there may be wiggle room for reduction, depending on the type of booking & your proximity to my home location (little to no fuel usage). I hold an up to date DBS Check, as it's a basic requirement for my current job, outside of Rover. I haven't, nor will ever, take more than one booking at a time! So rest assured that your pet/s will get my full attention! Last September, I took a short break when I moved into my first home with my partner. Now all settled, I'm back caring for your 4 legged friends! (I couldn't stay away for long, I missed this too much)! I'm currently undertaking five (animal related), Level 3 Courses (OFQUAL regulated): Advanced Award in Pet Care and Walking for Professionals, Animal Welfare & Licensing Inspector, Canine Nutrition, Canine Behaviour & Welfare, and Carnivore Studies (Big Cats)! I was a volunteer at K9 Cares Doggy Daycare for over a year (2016/2017) before I started working full-time. From volunteering, I gained valuable experience into the care of dogs and their individual needs. I love everything about caring for canines; I don't even mind the messy side! I had two family dogs in my teen years and now own a Sable German Shepherd named Nova! One of my good family friends is a KC Assured 5* Breeder for Fox Red Labradors who has a Level 3 Qualification in K9 Behaviour. I have spent much time around her and her 12 dogs; by doing this, I learned a great deal! When it comes to cats.. I've had them all my life and have cared for many over the years, so I am very clued up on their needs. I have my own kitten, named George. He was, quite literally, born in a barn. A taming process was needed to get him used to humans. After that, gradual introductions to my German Shepherd. All went by very successfully & he is the most loving cat you could ever own! Both dog & cat are best friends! If you're looking for a genuine, experienced & insured animal lover to provide pet care, please give me a message. I will be happy to arrange a date for a meet & greet with myself! ☆IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT MY SERVICES☆ \\// ● *POLITE NOTE*: Please be aware that I require a meet & greet with all potential clients and their pets before doing a booking. If you've got a unique situation where a meet & greet is not possible then pop me a message and I'll be happy to discuss!* ● INSURANCE:-->> For an extra layer of protection, I have now got full Pet Business Insurance through 'Protectivity' (12/05/24). So, along with 'The Rover Guarantee', there is peace of mind for you & myself. In the unlikely event something does go wrong, every aspect is fully covered. Evidence can be provided upon request! ● GROOMING:-->> This is a new service I am offering for £10 per dog. I will only be grooming short/long coat breeds, with fur. I also do poodle breeds, with hair, but this will NOT include any trimming. I have no "notable" special experience, but I groom my German Shepherd by myself. The following will apply to your pet: full brush/deshed, bath (somewhere at your home), towel dry, claw trim (if needed), followed by another brush. NOTE: You will need to provide the grooming equipment specific to your dog. ● DROP-INS/DOG WALKING: -->> I work full time, but please give me a message and we can work out hours and availability (my job is flexible). As I've got a dog myself, as long as your dog is fine with big, excitable breeds I'll be happy to bring my dog along to socialise them (if this is something you request & ONLY with your permission). A meet & greet between dogs, on neutral ground first, is a MUST. ● HOUSE SITTING: -->> This depends on my availability as I work full-time & have pets of my own. I primarily do drop-ins/dog walks because of this. But I have had requests in the past and certain dates I AM free for pet sitting. So this all depends on availability, but I still want to offer this as a service. So please don't feel hesitant for booking this with me! ● OTHER ANIMALS: -->> I am open to providing care for other animals not listed! Just enquire, we will discuss and if a good match, I will provide a personalised quote! For transparency~ What we get for the 'Rover Fee', explained by me: Rover provides a platform for Self-Employed Pet Minders, like myself, to work through. Each & every booking is fully protected by 'The Rover Guarantee', please search this up on Rover.com for more information (carers pay the same service fee as owners). You receive a 'card' from myself after each booking. A situational example could be if you've booked two drop-ins for a dog/multiple dogs on the same day you'll receive a seperate card for each booked slot). This includes, the time the booking was started/completed, booking time duration, photos, how many times they've: gone for a wee/poo, drank & eaten, and a fully detailed summary of how each booking went. ● Services I don't provide: -->> Dog Boarding & Doggy Daycare. REASON: By law, anyone who provides these services in the UK must hold an up to date, valid license for their home to be eligible. This is obtained from your local council. I do not currently have a license and will not be applying for one anytime soon.

The dogs were so well looked after and very happy. It’s not often one of our dogs will eat their food if there’s a change of routine so Lizzie did a fantastic job. They seemed to have a lot of fun and we’d love for Lizzie to come again.

Thanks Liz for your time with Reggie, he loves playing brain games and finding/sniffing things out so I'm sure he had a great time despite the rain. Nice and calm when I got home 👍😀

Such a brilliant sitter for Reggie, always engaging with him in different ways and seems to really enjoy him. It's great to know he's in safe and capable hands. Thank you.

When out on walks or dropping in on your pet, water will be provided as well as lots of playtime, treats and toys! Bookings are bespoke, so whatever you require doing pet-wise, I'm able to accommodate. Training sessions are something I have some experience with, so these can be given. I only take 1 booking at a time, so rest assured your dog will have my full attention. Although, on request I can socialise your dog with mine. But PLEASE read more info about this within the 'Pet Care Experience' or ' Availability' section of my profile, as there will be a process involved for this, especially if you require this regularly. ● Safety of your property is also of paramount importance to me, your house will always be kept secure & well looked after. Also, when house sitting... if you need any help with some chores, I'm more than happy to!

Information Elizabeth P. would like to know about your pet

● For ALL of my services: Please let me know if your animal has ANY special needs that I'm required to cater for. This can be ANYTHING, but examples include: reactivity, social anxiety, aggression, bite history, medication they're on, current physical injuries etc etc. It's also helpful to know what their interests are (toys, games, fave treats, etc), so I can give your pet the best care! I have some experience with dog & cat training (no formal qualifications, for full disclosure); so, on request, I'm more than happy to work with your pet on anything they're learning, or yet to learn! ● DOG WALKING: If you'd like for my dog to come along so your dog has canine company, your dog MUST be okay with large, excitable breeds. I will always require your permission and all involved dogs MUST meet first on neutral ground (this will be part of the free meet & greet process). ● Services I don't provide: -->> Dog Boarding & Doggy Daycare. REASON: By law, anyone who provides these services in the UK must hold an up to date, valid license for their home to be eligible. This is obtained from your local council. A typical day

I love to go on long walks with my dog. I am always on the hunt to find new places to go walking and for new activities to stimulate her working breed mind and body! Whether it be near your house, an adventure in the car to a new place or the countryside right near my home, your dog/s will always have an enriching time on a walk with me! Drop ins are always a good time! I will do whatever is required to keep your pet happy! I can do 30 minutes, or an hour and will give plenty of love and care every minute of the booking!
