Large Family on a Farm
Pet care experience
I trained horses for 10 years, then married my husband of 14 years (who also helps with the pet care). We both work from home, so it is easy to care for animals in our home and keeping our schedule flexible. We have 5 children (ages 4-12) who love and cuddle every animal we house. I have also been a puppy trainer for nearly 2 years, teaching basics such as sit, loose leash walking, come, stay, down, off, stay, bell ringing to go out, and crate training. We live on 12 “mostly” unfenced acres, so pet relief times are doubled as leash training opportunities. Our property includes rabbits, cats, and our own dog “Domino” (a Jack Russel terrier mix). We have a beautiful trail through the woods to walk pets for times of exploration and relaxation. I’ve taken care of a variety of animals since I was a teenager, both small and large. I’m willing to learn about each animal I house, with their needs, schedules, temperaments, etc. to be sure each animal can be as comfortable as possible. We’d love to have your pet stay with us!
Reviews
Elizabeth and Nick were great! This was our first trip away from our dog and she seemed so happy through all the updates we received. We will definitely be using them again!
Absolutely perfect! Elizabeth and Nick are great people and it reflects in their care for animals. There is not much more to say. My dogs were calm and happy when I picked them up. Like I was never gone. I am so impressed. My dog Kennedy usually has seizures when I'm gone or right after I get home due to the stress. Not this time. Thank you thank you!!! I have definitely found the best sitters on Rover and will be using Elizabeth & Nick again and again!
It was my first time leaving my puppy so I was so scared & nervous about it but Elizabeth & Nick made the experience so much easier, reassured me, kept me updated each day & were just really sweet to me & my baby I will definitely be using them in the future thank you for everything!
We were super pleased with Elizabeth and Nick. Oliver was well cared for and it was a great environment for him. He didn’t spend his days in a crate. He was out and about all day. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Pets are housed in our home as one of the family. We have plenty of crates for individual sleeping spaces, plus we utilize baby gates to separate areas of the house so animals can be separated in their own spaces in case they prefer time alone. By the end of 2023 we will also offer a separate housing facility on the farm that will be attached to an enclosed yard space for pets to have room to play outside. Every pet that arrives on the farm is supplied with an Apple Air Tag so that we know of their whereabouts at all times.

Information Elizabeth & Nick S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is good with other dogs. Are they food aggressive? Do they have special dietary needs, or need medication? Do they know how to walk on a leash? Good with kids? Are they runners? Preference for male or female caretaker?
A typical day
Mornings start early getting puppies out to potty first thing everyday. We then get all the critters, man and beast, fed on the farm. As we go through the day of farm chores, home education, and running our goat milk soap business, we train, play and walk the dogs in our care. Walks happen along our 1/4 mile graveled driveway, or the more scenic route through the trail we’ve made in our woods with stops along the way to see the multi generational families on the farm, or a quick splash in the creek. The day ends with an hour of playtime to get everyone’s energy out, we thank God for the day, and we look forward to rinse and repeat the next day.

Both my husband and I work from home on the farm. Not only am I a puppy trainer in basic training (uncertified), but we manufacture goat milk soaps on our property and we home educate our children. Because of this, we are always on the farm, outside of our weekly Sunday morning church schedule.
