Pet care experience
I grew up in Princeton, NJ with a border collie/beagle mix, 3 cats , hamsters, birds, guinea pigs and fish—my house was basically pet central. Most of my childhood was spent with friends and neighbors congregating at my house, where we invented games for animals…setting up tag and sprinklers for my dog, string toys for cats…we even had a room where hamsters could roam in a supervised setting, outside of their habitrails and if I am not mistaken, I recall my sister taught individual hamsters to run to her by name. Lol. Anyway, I love animals and they’ve always been an integral part of my life, since I can remember. I’m available for dog walking, daily, typically in the afternoon and evening. If you have pets that need a home visit, to feed or take them out for a bit, I’m available for that, too. As a former athlete, I can handle energetic walks or running with pets in the park, but I’m also sensitive to older or more relaxed dogs’ needs and if they want to meander, pause or enjoy nature, I can tailor our walks to their pace. I’m experienced at taking care of other people’s pets in their own environment, follow guidelines set by owners and respect animals’ comfort level. Summer time my schedule is flexible, I am typically available daily, afternoons and weekends. When fall semester begins, I’m available, except when I must attend class. I offer dog walks and short home visits for dogs, cats and other critters. I’m respectful of owner guidelines for pet care, property and safety.
Reviews
My boyfriend and I hired Elizabeth to walk our puppy Nova during the week. We both work full time and needed someone to walk her when we weren’t home. The first week, everything was great. The second week, my boyfriend and I came home and the whole apartment smelled like poop (we live in a small 1 br). We realized Elizabeth had thrown out our dogs poop in the trash inside our home. There are many trash cans around our complex specifically for dog poop and you have to pass a dumpster to get back to our apartment if you are on a walk. I messaged her letting her know it wasn’t okay to throw poop away in our home and to please be mindful that we live in a small space. She apologized and the next morning I reached out to touch base with her multiple times before her walk with Nova with no response. She cancelled all pending dog walks an hour before she was supposed to come with no explanation, I had to get an automated message from Rover. She never reached out saying sorry I have to cancel or anything, we never heard from her again. My boyfriend had to leave work early to come be with the puppy because she left us with no time to figure something else out. She clearly cancelled because she did not like that we asked her not to throw away poop in our home. This was our first time using Rover and we were honestly really disappointed and let down.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, concerns or triggers that should be understood for example, does your dog have specific dietary needs, behavioral/training concerns or triggers, like other dogs, that could trigger fear or defensiveness. I want your pet to feel as safe and secure as possible.
