Serious dog lover, warm human.

Pet care experience

I was an Animal Refuge League volunteer for a year and a half; walking shelters dogs weekly from all behavior levels, including dogs with resource guarding, dog reactivity, and other challenging behaviors. I completed a defensive dog handling training through the ARLGP. I'm highly skilled at reading dog body language. I love ALL dogs. Truly. I’m happy to run or walk with your dog, and provide them with tons of affection. I’m sensitive to what each dog’s unique needs are and how to meet them. I’ve cared for dogs overnight for more than 10 years, for both extended time periods and short stays. I have work experience as a lead classroom teacher, behavioral health professional, and as a nanny to several young families who also had dogs in their homes. Nurturing is what I do and who I am. I am trustworthy, reliable, and loving of animals and children.

Elizabeth has an enormous passion for dogs. Between caring for her own dog, volunteering with shelter dogs, and dog sitting my dog, Elizabeth has vast experience with dogs with a variety of needs. When watching my dog, Luna, she always makes Luna's safety a priority. She ensures my dog has ample exercise as well as lots of love and attention. Luna is always happiest after spending time with Elizabeth and always looks forward to her next visit. Elizabeth is also wonderful about providing updates on Luna when she is in her care. I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough to care for any dog!

A longtime family friend, Elizabeth has dog-sat and provided exercise for our golden retriever on many occasions, always going the extra mile (pun intended). She is responsible, considerate, and most importantly, she has a genuine love of dogs.

Elizabeth is a caring and conscientious pet owner and would make a great pet sitter. Her enthusiasm, passion and consideration for both pets and people set her apart. Her attention to detail and genuine love for all animals make her ideal for this position. She is responsible, dependable and would treat your pets as her own.

Information Elizabeth M. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know what parameters you have for a dog-sitter, as well as if your dog has any known triggers (such as being leashed around other dogs, afraid of strollers, etc.).

A typical day

I love to provide your dog with stimulation of all kinds- both physical and mental. I'm happy to stop and sniff the smells with your pup, taking things at their own pace. Depending on your needs, I can incorporate the routine you already have with your pup into my time with them.
