Pet care experience
I just love pets! I've grown up with a family dog my entire life, both labradors, and have been around the neighborhood pups just as long. I have dog/house sat regularly since the age of fourteen for three different families. In 2020 I was promoted to cat mama of two fluffy boys, so kitty care knowledge and experience is personal to me as well. I absolutely adore big dogs, but I enjoy the company of smaller breeds, too. I have never been afraid of a dog, nor felt uncomfortable or incapable caring for one. As far as personality of your pup, I love trouble makers and rambunctious energy, but of course the calm and collected are welcomed by me as well. Please don't ever think your dog is too much for me to handle, I am up for any challenge a dog can give me. (Even if the dog is a bit messy!) I will care for and treat your pup as if it were my own, that is my promise. For cats, I deeply understand their differences from dogs in behavior and care requirements. The overall wellbeing of a cat takes just as much effort and, like dogs, their needs are more than just food and water. I make it a point to learn from each kitty as to what makes them comfortable, while also building relationships of trust that can lead to cuddles and play! Whether a shy wallflower or a little napoleon over their territory, I ensure they know my love respect. I really should be thanking YOU for letting me spend time with your pet! Thank you so much for taking the time to view my profile. Have a fantastic day and give your dog a hug or your cat a scratch for me! :)
Reviews
Elizabeth did a great job with my highly anxious, very barky dog as well as our other 2 pets. I wasn’t as organized as I planned and she rolled with it!
Elizabeth was an amazing sitter for our older cat Kiki. She had excellent communication, helpful with navigating the Rover process and answered any questions we had. I'm positive Kiki enjoyed her time with her through the adorable pics that Elizabeth sent. Whenever we need a pet sitter we're definitely contacting Elizabeth. I'm absolutely impressed with her sitting services all around! I don't think I can thank her enough.
Elizabeth was wonderul! She was able to stay at our home to accommodate our blind, senior dog. She sent updates & photos that showed they were being well taken care of & having a great time! We look forward to booking Elizabeth again!
Elizabeth did an awesome job looking after our cat while we were away for a couple of weeks. We booked her for every other day drop in visits to handle food, water, litter box, and some interaction. Our cat is pretty introverted but Elizabeth was able to get her to do some interaction and took some awesome photos that were great for us to see while we were out. There was also an issue with us accessing Rover.com from the country we were visiting so she was flexible in how she communicated so that we could still get updates while we were away. Lastly, the food, water, and litter box areas were all spotless when we arrived home.

Safety, trust & environment
I always follow safety guidelines and extra tips/tasks that owners ask of me. As I care for each pet as if they were my own, I keep each living space tidy and cared for as well.
Information Elizabeth L. would like to know about your pet
Other than the usual routine like feeding, bathroom habits, medications, I like to ask about each pet’s personality– usually I ask if they have any fears like thunderstorms, like to be pet or scratched in certain spots or prefer to not be touched in certain areas, if there are any key training commands or specific ways to do things for them, etc.
A typical day
I love getting dogs to play with their toys, or hide a few treats for them to sniff and find. On walks, unless the owner or dog wants otherwise, I prefer to mix it up each time by letting them sniff around or doing short bursts of running. With cats I try to keep a routine, but also get them to play or cuddle if they seem interested.

Availability
I do commute to work in St. Paul, Mondays-Thursdays, though less than full time hours. Because of this, I am limited on midday potty breaks or care.
