Ever since I can remember I've loved animals. My favorite book as a child was The Secret Garden and I longed to be like the character Dickon who had a fox a horse and raven as his best friends. Though I did get to ride horses I have yet to get a fox or a raven. I grew up with a Rottweiler, German Shepherd, and Black Lab mix named Simba and am convinced he was the worlds best dog. My brother and sister both have yellow labs that I probably love more then my siblings. (It could be said that I prefer pets to people.) I recently lost my cat of 9 years after a long struggle with feline diabetes and found myself missing someone to care for. I would love a running buddy or a cuddly friend. Nothing better then a wagging tail to brighten any day!
