Pet care experience
For as long as I can remember, my family has had at least one dog and one cat, in addition to a few horses and birds along the way! My strong connection with animals started as a child, and after two years living without a pet at KU, I knew I was ready to adopt a dog of my own. My pup Rory and I had 13 sweet years together. After grad school and several years as a community social worker in Denver, I am back in Kansas. I now have a gray tabby cat named Bedelia who is a talkative, extremely curious, and lovable goofball. You can count on me to treat your pet like they are my own! I take the time to get to know each pet individually and tailor my care for you and them. Here are more specifics about what I offer: -Extensive experience caring for pets with special needs (diabetes, blindness, senior animals, oral and injection medications) -Responsive and attentive communication -Reliable pet-friendly transportation -Experience pet-sitting for multiple animals at once -Experience with shelter animals and various breeds

Liz is wonderful, responsive, and so caring with our dogs! They love when she drops in or walks them while we are working.
Amazing! She went above and beyond with Ted. It was super last minute, she responded fast and was able to help! I will for sure be reaching out again if I need any help in the future! So caring and so nice. She really made sure to report and take great care of him!

Your pet's safety is the priority and I take extra care to cater to their needs and what they're used to. I do have pet-friendly transportation if needed, but of course would not take your pet in the car unless you suggest it.

I’d love to know any general information about your pet, their personality and any specific preferences and/or needs they may have. For example--What will make them feel most comfortable? Should I know anything about how they interact with other dogs on walks, children, etc...? Do they respond to specific commands I can help reinforce? Additionally, any logistical information about your home, your pet’s food/water/medications, routine, and/or emergency information is always appreciated to make you and your pet’s experience as enjoyable and smooth as possible!
A typical day
I am familiar with many neighborhoods and dog-friendly parks in the Lawrence area. I’m happy to play fetch in the back yard, take your dog walking through your neighborhood, to a dog park to socialize, or wherever you and your pet prefer. If your dog just needs company or snuggles, that's great too! I will also make sure your pet has the food, water and any medications they may need.
