Pet care experience
I’ve been dog obsessed since I was a kid, and am really hating not having one in my life right now. I’m still mourning my beloved Lulu, who left me after 15 wonderful years. I have experience with all kinds of dogs but prefer small, cuddly, and non/low shed. I can throw a ball for hours and will shower your baby with extra love while you’re away! I’m a little obsessed with “enrichment” activities and will gladly pamper your pooch with a spa day if you like.
Reviews
Elizabeth is a wonderful dogsitter! Our pup came back happy and loved after our trip. She sent regular updates and photos, giving us total peace of mind. Elizabeth's genuine care and attention to detail are outstanding. She treats dogs like family. Highly recommended!
Elizabeth was responsive, nice and clearly comfortable with dogs! She sent cute pics and I could tell my dog felt right at home. Def someone I would use again.
Elizabeth is very reliable. Took excellent care of my chihuahua
Elizabeth was James Baldwin’s first Rover and we will definitely use her again. She really takes time to learn the fur babies left in her care, sends photos and videos while you’re traveling, and even met up with us in advance of his stay for a meet and greet to make sure he would get along with another pup who would be staying with her at the same time. I was able to travel and feel comfort that Jimmy was in good hands knowing Elizabeth would take care of him as if he was her own. Thank YOU Elizabeth!!

I find it best to keep to the schedule/routine the pet parents have established. I have always used positive reinforcement methods or distraction/removal techniques with my own dogs. My dog friendly building is near several parks and has an enclosed courtyard and large atrium, in addition to a doggy play area. My apartment gets lots of daytime light for sunbeam drenched naps. I have plenty of experience with older dogs as well, and have no problem with most medical needs. I lost my fur baby in March, and will treat yours with all the love and attention I gave her—special meals when her bowels were problematic, diapers when dementia meant she forgot to tell me she needed outside, and weekly pampering sessions complete with doggy massage. No cats.

Information Elizabeth H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any allergies or specific fears (and how you anticipate/handle their panic attacks). Any information you can share about their usual behavior is appreciated—for example, do they always look for corners to lie down in or does that mean they’re upset/afraid?
A typical day
Hill East offers a lot of great dog walks—the Congressional Cemetery, the Fields at RFK, and Kingman/Herotage Islands are all nearby! I also have a vehicle and like to go urban hiking at the arboretum. Or If your dog is more of a layabout, cuddles during Netflix binge sessions are always on order.
