2 rescues of my own. Seen it all!
Pet care experience
I always grew up with dogs around the house but my very best friend, Weller, (pictured in my profile) was the dog that changed it all for me. Both, he and our other dog, Matilda, were extremely abused before we rescued them and rehabilitating them sparked my love for challenging yet rewarding work. A couple years after I got Weller, I started working for Canine Adventure, a dog-walking and care service in Richmond, VA. Between caring for my own dogs, pet-sitting in high school, college, and on the side as a young professional, I've experienced everything a pet-handler possibly could in 10 years time. From abused dogs who are easily frightened, to puppies, to dogs who are reactive on the leash, I've seen it all. While dogs are my bread and butter, I've cared for numerous cats, birds, fish, etc. and am so excited to meet and care for your fury family members!

Elizabeth got in a great walk with Lucy today and it was most appreciated as my walks with her have been short this week. I always know when E comes Lucy will get her legs stretched with lots of LOVE!!
Elizabeth is like the postman! Foul weather doesn’t keep her down and my Lucy appreciates the extra effort!
Elizabeth is fantastic! She was able to help us out with a last minute weekend need and was very prompt with communication. Our dog can be fearful of new people but was immediately comfortable with Elizabeth. She took him on a great walk, stayed with him while he ate his dinner, and sent lots of pictures.

I also have years of experience giving medicine to dogs and had one of my own that required daily insulin shots so I'm no stranger to pups with specific needs.
A typical day
I lived in Richmond,VA for 27 years and graduated from VCU with a degree in Urban Planning. I’ve worked in real estate (commercial and residential) for the last 2.5 years and continue to care for dogs part-time. I’m moving to Moscow, ID and can’t wait to continue caring for pups in our new hometown. Whether they just need a neighborhood walk to stretch their legs or a couple hours to hit the trails in the Palouse, I have the perfect routes in mind. If walking isn't their thing and they just need someone to come over and show them some love, I'm more than happy to do that as well!
