Loving Sitter In San Diego!

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth and I can't wait to meet you and your dog! Dogs have always played a big part in my life. I grew up with a wonderful lab/border collie/chow rescue named Coco, who was 90 lbs. of pure love and who taught me all about how much love dogs can give. My friends in high school used to joke I was the dog whisperer because anytime I'd be in the room with their pets, the dogs would all gravitate to me! Nowadays I'm that person at the party who's over in the corner making friends with the dog. I started pet sitting when I was seventeen because of how much I love dogs and I have experience with many different breeds including greyhounds, whippets, basenjis, huskies, border collies, labs, pit mixes and jack russells. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs needing extra care/medicine and have also taken care of many cats. I love dogs because of their inherent goodness, their honest nature, and the unconditional love they provide. I can't have pets in my current apartment, so I love spending as much time as I can with my friends' pets and those I get to pet sit. I am drawn to animals and feel like I can intuitively understand their needs and the signals they provide. I am currently dog walking only due to COVID-19 and I try to keep my calendar as updated as possible with my availability and am happy to discuss this in more detail. Please reach out to me if you think I would be a good fit! I am looking forward to meeting you and your puppy!

Elizabeth has been our go-to for dog/house sitting for nearly two years now! She takes wonderful care of our sometimes high-maintenance dogs and allows us to fully relax when we are out of town. One of our dogs is aging and her needs are evolving and I know that she is in capable and loving hands. We know we will always come home to happy healthy dogs who barely noticed we were gone because Elizabeth was so wonderful!

Elizabeth is wonderful! We've had her house/dog sit for us for almost two years now. Our dogs love her and we love coming home from trips away and knowing that our girls have been in her safe and capable hands. We are so grateful to have found her!

Information Elizabeth G. would like to know about your pet

Before sitting your dog I would love to know the following: 1. Their regular daily routine including diet, walks, playtime, daily outside breaks, etc. 2. Their level of socialization, general temperament, and energy level. 3. Any medical concerns and/or allergies. 4. Their knowledge of commands and what commands are regularly used in your home. I can administer oral medication but no injected medication. I am comfortable with all breeds but do wish to meet every dog and their owner(s) in person before providing care!

A typical day

I am happy to take your dog wherever they are used to walking or playing. Without a dog of my own, I am looking forward to snuggling, lots of pets, and any game they might enjoy.
