Pet care experience
I am an empty nester, 18 year resident of the Vail Valley. Had many pets while raising 3 children...golden retriever, bouvier des flanders, schnoodle, wheaten terrier, all raised from puppies. Currently have only beta fish, but love both cats and dogs. I pet sit for my now out-of-town children, and love it! I enjoy hiking and would be happy to take your dogs with me! I am comfortable being the "alpha" with more headstrong breeds. I do keep boundaries, and if you want your dog in my home, on the furniture is not an option. I'm happy to have your dog with me during the day, and in your house at night, if they have to sleep with me in bed. And I do cats, too. Love them both!

Elizabeth is a natural with dogs; I have a 13 year old Yorkie that she has watched, loved and cared for many times! I have also been with Elizabeth as she was pet sitting for a puppy. She sets positive boundaries and is very interactive and responsible!

Elizabeth is an amazing person and always takes great care of our dog and cat whenever we go out of town. She is kind and is always very prompt on responding to our needs as a whole family. She is so diligent and precise with their care that when we are out of town we never have to worry. Not only does she do a great job but my husband and I can tell how much she loves our little Otie and Layla too ? We always get the best photo updates. I would trust her with any pet!

I would like to know how the dog is trained...on leash only, or able to run a bit without running away on trails and such. I would absolutely only walk a dog on roads on a leash, but I know how they love to run....but I'd only allow that with a well trained dog that will stay within my view.
A typical day
I live in Singletree, very close to a trail that is dog friendly. I also enjoy hiking both East and West Lake Creek Trails with dogs. If your dog likes the Edwards Dog Park by Colorado Mtn College, I'll be happy to take him/her there.
