Scientist and dog mom. Let's play!

Pet care experience

About me: I have adopted two dogs and one cat. Now working part time and help care for farm animals. Previous employment has included roles as scientist, policy analyst, and petting zookeeper. I've taken care of friend and family pets and just love getting to know animal (and plant!) personalities. About you: have pets who want snuggles, want to play, go outside, need training reinforcement, or social interaction during the day. I'm currently working part time early mornings so would love to hang out with and take care of your pets while you're gone during the daytime. I also have some limited availability to board doggos and cats my home overnight. At your house: meet and greets let me ask questions about any safety or medical issues, understand behavior expectations to reinforce, and what schedule you want for your pet. At my house: I have a fenced in yard and three acres out on the Alamance/Orange county line. I keep one dog or bonded pair at a time and they stay in the same room of the house. If they like other dogs they'll have two delightful dogs to play with in the yard (always supervised).

We left our 8-month-old, high-energy puppy with Elizabeth for a weekend, and were very happy. It was our first time using Rover, so we were a little anxious about it, but it was great. Elizabeth really knows what she is doing with dogs and inspires confidence, and our pup had a great time playing in the fenced yard with her two dogs. I would definitely use Elizabeth again!

Elizabeth took great care of my babies and they had endless fun playing with her. She sent me lots of pictures and kept them entertained with hours of fun!

Elizabeth was a wonderful host for my pup, a recent rescue who has some anxiety. He enjoyed her fenced area and got along well with her dogs. Elizabeth was flexible when it came to drop off and pick up times. She was great about communicating with me before and during his stay and sent photos daily. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

A typical day

Examples for boarding or doggy day care: We run around outside in the fenced yard, bark at the free-range chickens, and come in to snuggle on dog beds in the living room with lots of belly rubs. Examples for drop-in visits- happy to tailor this to what you want: lots of belly rubs, play with toys, let dogs out for a quick pee, check food and water, feeding or medications as appropriate
