Pet care experience
Pleased to meet ya! My name is Lizzy. I grew up on a farm in rural Virginia and have lived all over the country. I have cared for everything from goats, mules, chickens, water fowl, and Tennessee Walkers in the South, to mustangs in Montana and Thoroughbreds and pea-fowl in Virginia. I have been privileged to care for so many amazing felines and pups along the way. I have dealt with special needs, ailing and aggressive dogs of all imaginable breeds... honestly, nothing phases me. I'm here to earn a little extra income and get my animal therapy simultaneously. I believe my references will reflect my reliability and passion for making animals and their humans feel truly safe, loved, entertained and content. Feel free to contact me with any questions! I'm always open to learning and adapting to new environments.
Reviews
Sent the cutest pictures from the visit. Phillip had a blast and had a good day at home. Highly recommend Lizzy!!!!
Liz was terrific with our dog, Molly, when we needed help with an afternoon walk. She clearly has a very natural connection with animals (and was not at all intimidated by my one-eyed pitbull). She is also incredibly conscientious, and folded up some of our dog blankets, toys, and leashes spread about the house. We will absolutely be hiring her again for future times when we can't be home with our dog.
Elizabeth has cared for our dogs, cats, chickens, and horses over the past 10 years on both our farm and in the city setting. We have many rescues, elderly, young, former fighting dogs, and many that have multiple medical issues and she never fails to keep their meds on schedule, take them to vet, keep us updated, even fix some farm equipment when necessary. One year, when our farm well went dry she hauled 65 galons of water a day to keep everyone watered and well. She is well versed in horsemanship for Western, Roping and Eventing; stall and injury management, problem behaviors in horses and dogs, and on top of it all, displays genuine empathy, love, and exceptionally sound judgement under often demanding circumstances.
Liz is a 5 Star and More. She was there for us during a very challenging time. We found out days before a family vacation that our male bully, Heff, had pneumonia. Liz and our other wonderful Rover, Brianna, kept a close and loving eye on our female bullie Maggie who was still at home while were away. Heff was hospitalized for 7 days and during that time in an oxygen tank and he refused to eat. The doctors said that he couldn’t be released until his appetite returned. I reached out to Liz to see if she could bring Heff some of his favorite foods while were away and that I would order the food from somewhere so she just needed to pick it up. She took it upon herself to cook cheesburgers and boiled eggs for him and take the food to the hospital and feed him. It was the turning point for Heff and he began to eat and was eventually able to come home. Thank you Liz for being so caring and loving to our pups!! We are greatly appreciative of you help and we highly recommend your services to anyone!

Information Elizabeth C. would like to know about your pet
I always ask about dietary restrictions, medical, and emotional needs firstly, all and any of which I'm happy to accommodate. It's important to know, for example, if a dog has endured trauma in the past, and has any triggers or needs special attention and care in certain environments.
A typical day
Activities are obviously based on a pets personality and health needs, and will be somewhat shaped by their neighborhood/home environment and each pets comfort zone. As an avid hiker, I love it when I find a client who's pups share that enthusiasm with me. There's no outing or adventure I'm not willing to explore to make sure I bring back a happy customer.
