My name is Eliza (liz to those who know me well). My husband and I live in North Hollywood with 2 small chihuahua mixes. We grew up with dogs, and we love dogs (probably too much since we don't have kids). NOTE: We only consider dogs up to ~20 lbs. We provide a caring home for your dog while you're away - my number one goal is to make sure your dogs is getting the gentleness (and fun!) they need when they stay with us. We have a fenced grassy yard for play and quick potty times, a warm sunroom for dog lounging and sunbathing and plenty of toys for playtime. Feel free to request a meet & greet so we can get to know each other better.

Our home is cozy and small-dog friendly. There’s a grassy backyard with a concrete tree-lined fence. There’s a good amount of shade for playing and potty breaks outside. We also have canopies so when the dogs are outside, they can stay cool all summer long. But on hot days, they can come inside for the cool AC. Our home has plenty of places to snuggle and get belly rubs and is one-story so no stairs. We like healthy dogs, so we keep our dogs clean and up to date with vaccines. Finally, we like to communicate with you, so you know what's going on with your dog throughout their stay.

Please let us know any special needs we need to account for your dog. We care about the well-being of your dog and want to give your dog the gentleness and extra attentiveness he/she may need. Also upon boarding, I like to know their routines, how they communicate (flap ears, whimper/scratch to go outside), commands they are familiar with, times they go to bed, any exercise routines, etc. It will help them feel more comfortable during their stay.
A typical day
I love to walk dogs and let them explore and smell. Typically, I walk to a nearby park which is about a 30-minute walk and then play there or come home and play. There are plenty of toys to play with and our dogs love smell/find activities which get their senses going. We take walks daily and throw the ball or play games. I've done clicker training and taught my dogs tricks. Sometimes, on weekend mornings, we venture to the dog park to sniff and meet other dogs (but we typically will stay home with new dogs who are boarding). Of course, there is plenty of time for resting, relaxing and napping inside our home throughout the day/evening. We welcome any suggestions from you so your dog feels comfortable in our home.

Availability
We stick to a routine with dogs so they feel more comfortable with us. We feed our own twice daily (in am and pm) & provide fresh clean water in dog bowls, take walks to a nearby park, play at the park or back home in our grassy backyard. There's lots of scratching, petting, and relaxing on dog beds (or the couch) in the living room during lunch and before bedtime. We have 2 chihuahua mixes who are socialized and good with other dogs. I have worked with all types of dogs so have techniques to tailor a routine and ensure your dog feels at home, comfortable, and the stay is stress-free.
