Pet care experience
I am a remote-working counselor and educator by trade so I am caring, attentive, extremely trustworthy, and have gentle but firm boundaries with pets. I am detail-oriented and understand the importance of consistency, so you can trust I will continue with your own training, medication, and feeding requests to a T. I am adaptable and communicative, and send pictures and adjust to special requests easily. I have loved caring for older and anxious dogs with higher needs as well as young active ones. I previously had a high-energy corgi Australian Shepherd mix who was the love of my life. Before that I had a black lab from puppy through the end of her long life at 18, so I know both puppy care and senior dogs. I have pet and house sat for multiple dogs and cats of all sizes back home over the last 15 years. I miss having animals in my life so I will give your animal family member the most enthusiastic and loving attention, as I am grateful to see them too!

Eliza was a wonderful sitter for the 10 days that we were on vacation. Roadie enjoyed her company and she took very good care of him and our house. She even worked with our contractor so he could finish a project before our return. I know that Roadie enjoyed her company, because he was moping around the house for three days after we got back, missing her. Even though we were out of the country, Eliza kept in touch and periodically sent us pics of Roadie and his negotiation stares. The day of our return home, she made sure that Roadie was sufficiently worn out from walks and the dog park, so we didn't have to worry about getting him exercised after a long day of traveling. When we returned to the house she had cleaned and done something special for us. Can't say enough about how wonderful she was and how much we trust her. Thank you Eliza for everything.
Our pup Cooper had the greatest stay with Eliza. She was great about sending regular pictures and updates and took great care of him with lots of walks and snuggles. We will definitely seek to have him stay with her next time we're out of town!
Eliza was amazing! She took our Yoshi on so many adventures and took great care of him! She was very flexible and helpful when we unexpectedly had to add an extra day to our trip. We will definitely look to see if Eliza is available when we book our next trip! Highly recommend!
Luna loved her stay with Eliza! Before the over night, Eliza came to our home to meet Luna and arranged for us to leave Luna at her home for a few hours so it would be a familiar place. Eliza sent us updates and pictures of Luna enjoying her stay! We know Luna looks forward to her next visit!

I like all breed of dog. I do like to know a bit about the dog’s temperament, triggers, and about how you typically have disciplined/trained him or her.
A typical day
I have a large fenced yard, and I love to go on long winding walks in residential neighborhoods, on bike paths, in parks and in nature reserves. I moved down here a few years ago from a wooded place so every chance I get I go hiking, to state parks, or to rivers, if your dog would like to come with me. However, we also have a warm and cozy home with carpet and hardwood, and enjoy being a homebody as well if your pup needs more down time. I also have experience owning a dog who had a hard time with people, so I know how to avoid crowds and seek out more secluded times and areas if that is preferable.
