Seeking to care for dogs!
Pet care experience
I have had animals all of my life (I even had sheep in 4-H!). In my adult years, I have always had a cat and now my family is interested in getting a dog. My husband was more of a dog person before we met but now loves cats too. My boys are 14 and 16 years old. They are both very responsible and concientious. My younger son volunteers at the AAH ( Animal Assisted Happiness) Farm once a week. My family and I care for our animals like they are a members of our family. We have several furry friends that we love to invite over to our house or visit at their house. I am looking to spend more quality time with dogs and excited at the prospect of getting to know your dog! I work from home 100% at this time. Our 2 teenage sons split their time between on site school and distance learning. Our cat technically belongs to our younger son (who is interested in veterinary medicine) so he is responsible for feeding her and making sure she has clean water. I am the one who is ultimately responsible for the pets in our home. My older son is very eager to learn more about dog care. When I have the opportunity to care for someone's dog, I will limit out of the house activities to be home as much as possible. I have a secure, large, high, fenced in yard. Our cat is indoors only and friendly with dogs. I am looking to care for a dog that likes to be walked and played with. I also have a fenced front yard but would not let any animals spend time out there (just a nice safety precaution).
Reviews
Lizzy loved staying with Elise and her family. They have a great house and yard and treat her like one of their own.
We left our sweet 2year old labradoodle with Elise and family for 4 nights. During her stay she had walks, cuddles playtime in the large backyard and even a play date. We never worried a bit and getting plenty of photos and texts made us feel that she was in great hands. All members of the family helped and gave our girl attention and love. Can’t go wrong with staying with Elise and family!
This is out 2nd time with Elise. After a year our 16month old puppy still remembers her wonderful host. Elise gave daily updates with photos and sweet comments. It made our time away from our puppy much more bearable. And we really appreciate her flexibility with our change of vacation plans. We highly recommend Elise.
Second time with Elise and once again truly awesome to have her looking after Phoenix. A couple of shorter visits this time but doggo was very tired after all the running around in the yard and play time. Got some lovely photos as well of all the cuddles she was getting. Amazing family, listened to all instructions and would be back there anytime! Thanks Elise!

Information Elise S. would like to know about your pet
I have a form of information that I like to make sure I have on hand when taking care of other people's dogs. I would make sure to keep that handy and I would like to learn as much as I can about your dog at the meet and greet before pet sitting or dog walking. Ideally your dog would be house broken, doesn't chew furniture/shoes, and has minimal separation anxiety/barking. How does your dog get along with other people, animals, and in new environments? Any special needs? Any aggressive tendencies? Any medical needs, taking medicine, allergies, foods/activities to avoid?
A typical day
I would like to get to know each dog and do what they enjoy. We are open to neighborhood walks, playing at parks or whatever is safe and fun for your dog. I can arrange a play date with a neighbor dog if appropriate. Or they can just snuggle and watch with TV with me. And of course, lots of pictures to you so you can see what your dog is up to throughout the stay.
