Pet care experience
I’ve looked after dogs for most of my life, whether they’ve been my own family pets or for family and friends. At home I currently have a 1 year old working cocker which I really miss when I’m back up at uni. Having such a high energy dog means I feel like I can keep up with just about anything! I am a medical student so sometimes just having a dog to hang out with is much needed! I have put “no pets” as in my uni house I have not got pets.

Elise is one of the kindest people I’ve met, both towards humans and animals. I believe she’s had family 4 dogs in her lifetime and still speaks of the 3 that have sadly passed away to this day. Now that she’s at uni studying medicine she is away from her family’s dog and I know she missed her a lot so having the ability to look after other people’s will fill her with a lot of happiness and love. She has previously done similar work walking dogs for the elderly during covid to both help out older people who couldn’t go out, and get the dogs the vital exercise they needed. I couldn’t recommend anyone more for being a responsible and loving pet caregiver.
Elise has had an excellent rapport with a number of dogs, including Toffee and Fudge, who we took on from an animal sanctuary, as well as our energetic spaniel Roo. Elise is very kind and responsible and an obvious animal lover.

I can easily crate your pet if needed, and due to growing up with dogs and having looked after a fair few I know my way around keeping them safe and any precautions I would need to take. As I will be looking after your dog in your own home it will mean that they won’t be uprooted or in a new environment, so you won’t have to worry about them being somewhere you don’t know and they don’t know. I am very respectful so any house rules you may have I will ensure to follow E.g. if your pet isn’t allowed on the sofa I will continue to enforce that.

A typical day
I absolutely love hanging out with dogs, so whether they just need company or a run around in a nearly by park, I would be more than happy to do that. I know a couple of fun games that are mentally stimulating for dogs that I reckon they would love!

Availability
I am a medical student so I do tend to have quite a busy schedule but I also tend to have a lot of half days which means I tend to get back just after midday, or alternatively have the morning off and I am only at uni for a couple of hours. I am completely free on weekends, all day and night. My schedule varies weekly but but it means that no days are ruled out every week!
