I've been pet sitting for over five years and have a dachshund who's my co-dependent little fur baby partner in crime. Some of my favorite activities to do with my fluffy rambunctious charges are creating inventive thinking games, taking long walks, snuggling up with lots of affection, and providing 1-on-1 24/7 love for your pet--if they like that kind of thing. I currently can work from anywhere, so I'm available to stay in your house all day doing whatever's best to please your puppy without interruption. This is my full time job, so I take it seriously as one. I'm also attentive and listen to an owner's needs. You don't want Molly to have any treats after five o'clock and Wishbone can only have a cup of organic dog food every other day with his diet food? Not a problem! Just call me a puppy pleaser! If your puppy needs to adhere to a strict training schedule for potty breaks, I'm your girl. If you want to teach your Pitbull to not lumber through the house like a giant on speed while you're gone, I'll keep the place on lockdown and snuggle up to the big lug until he learns that playing and cuddling with me is more rewarding than knocking down your precious plants. I enjoy nurturing animals, enriching their lives, and giving my clients a puppy smile to come home to when all is said and done.

Ideally, I'd like to know their toy preferences, puppy bed times, favorite walking places, any habits you're currently trying to correct or encourage, any "rules of the house", and any ways they don't like to be touched by strangers. The last thing I want to do is breach physical boundaries with a dog when we're in the getting to know you phase, so if Fido doesn't want me to go over his head or doesn't particularly like being picked up, I want to know about it. My job is to foster the best one-on-one relationship that I can with your dog and that includes knowing and working within their physical boundaries.
A typical day
I'm big on fun enrichment games that use ordinary household objects, nothing breakable, of course, like creating a hide and seek game with tennis balls in a muffin tin or creating a backyard course from a holla hoop and some praise. Walks can be as long or as short as is needed to get the job done. I'm a big believer that only my client knows what their fur baby wants and needs on a walk, so I tend to follow their lead. Routine tends to be a factor in most happy dog lives, so if your baby is used to fifteen minute walks around a certain circuit in the neighborhood every night, I want to know about it, so I can recreate it for them.
