I dog sit mostly for pleasure. I am 50, and work fulltime at a CUNY in a computer science department. I have dogsat for a friend for about 10 years; I realized lately that being around her dog is a huge mood boost for me. I would like to dogsit periodically in my neighborhood to be around dogs more often, especially on a weekend. I'm looking for friendly like minded people with whom I get along, because I communicate a lot with my friend when I dog sit. My main interest is to dog sit rather than walk so I can spend more time with the dog. I imagine personalities would have to match and meshing would take a while, but I would like to try for that with more people.

Elise was an absolutely amazing sitter for my cat Theo! She was prompt, communicative, and flexible when I made the booking rather at the last minute. I felt very comfortable having her in my home, and she was thorough in her questions ahead of time and in her report about the visit - she even sent some great pictures to show they were having a good time! I would absolutely recommend her and would certainly book her again.
What can I say Elise knows how to make dogs happy. She walked my dog for 10 days during the holidays and she did amazing. Every picture of my dog had a smile on her face. She was very easy to communicate with and let me know how my pup was doing at any moment. She will def be used again. 5 starts all the way.
She's a good friend of mine. She's talented, supporting, loving, and attentive. I've been her coworker, so I know the care she puts into her work. She works at a college, running a program which helps kids get jobs. She's organized programs for around 40+ kids for job training. Students tell her how much they appreciate that she has their back, and how rare it is for them to feel that. I've also been with her as she takes care of dogs; she gets to know them, she's able to notice how they're feeling. She's patient and loving with them.
I met Elise 20 years ago when we worked together as editors at a magazine. We immediately hit it off and became close friends. Since then, we've traveled together, shared many meals and much wine together, she organized my pre-wedding festivities, and now we go for weekly walks in Prospect Park. She is kind, loyal, responsible, funny, warm, and exceptionally smart.
