Pet care experience
I've had dogs, cats, and rodents throughout my whole life though I currently only live with two cats. My high school job was working at a no-kill rescue on a farm, where I handled dogs of all temperament, age, size, and reactivity, as well as administering medications and handling various care requirements. I fostered a dangerously reactive dog and trained him so that he could find a safe forever home. I'm willing to work with all breeds and care requirements, as long as those needs are openly communicated and discussed up front to ensure your pet gets the best care they deserve. :)

At the moment, I live in an apartment with only a small patio out back and my two cats remain indoors. In the past, I've had dogs without adequate yard space so I ensured I gave them plenty of exercise through walks, hikes, and playtime. Feeding time stays on schedule and I focus on using positive reinforcement for training to build a better bond with the pet.

I am willing to handle and care for reactive animals as long as this is communicated ahead of time, as well as administering medication, eye/ear drops, or treating physical injuries/issues. Your pet's routine is extremely important to me as well, as I don't want to stress them out with change if I can help it!
A typical day
I'm game for whatever your pet is game for! I love taking dogs on hikes, walks, and to Starbucks for a pup cup if they so desire. I'm also a huge fan of lounging around with a cat (or a larger-than-life lap dog haha!) on my lap.

Availability
I'm currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule, so I am open to discussing different routines and time windows when it comes to caring for your pets! I have also done house-sitting visits longer than one week, so if you're needing something like that we can work it out!
