My name is Nate and I recently turned six! My Grand-mommy wants to rename me Trouble but I really do try to be a good dog . . . I am a Basenji mix who likes to climb on everything I can find. Mommy buys me a lot of toys, and I love to share them with the friends that come to stay with us. We have lots of tennis balls, stuffed animals, and rope toys. I love playing tug of war!! I will even let you sleep in my dog bed, if it makes you feel better about being away from home. I have like five of dem, so take your pick!! Come stay with me and my Mom, and we’ll make sure that you won’t be homesick! Hi, my name is Ginger. I am Nate's little sister. I am an Italian Greyhound. Now that is a toy or miniature Greyhound, I am only 10 pounds and I won't get any bigger. I am little but I am fast!! Run, Run, fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread girl!! I like to go, go, go!! So if you like to run like the wind come & play with me. No matter how much we play or what crazy things we try to do, Mom makes sure that we don’t get hurt. She calls it “dog-proofing” and we call it “wow, she really is smarter than us!” Furniture, tables, counter-tops, you name it and we've tried to climb it. Nate have also learned how to stick his paw underneath the laundry-room door in our old apartment and open it but Mommy used a stick to keep it closed. No fun, cause that’s where she hid the trash :-( There’s nothing here that could harm you or me. And guess what else? We have so many toys to share, you don’t even need to bring your own! We are pretty lucky, because Mom is the best pet parent that could possibly exist. She says she can’t imagine her life without a dog in it. She’s had and loved dogs her entire life. She makes a lot of crafts, like coasters and baby blankets and other stuff that humans like to use. But taking care of dogs is the focus of her life, and there’s nothing she loves more. Yay for you and me! We just moved to West Virginia. We now live in a really nice house. We have our own backyard!! Ginger ans me really loves it cause we can runs in and outs the backdoor as much as we wants to!! The backyard is fenced in so we play, play, play all day long because Mommy is something called "Retired" and is home with us all day long. :-) Mommy takes lots of “photos” to share because humans like these things called “memories,” and your parents like to see you play wif us. We also go to the Dog Park in town and on hikes and do other ventures! Ginger ans me just loves to have fun! You will too! Mom knows everything about dogs, and she’s been an owner and pet-sitter for 40 years. She’s seen everything there is to see! She even has a blue ribbon on the wall for something called “Sheep Herding” at Nationals! She knows how to take care of other animals, too--and weI love all the animals who come over, even if they don’t want to play with us. Mom has lived all over the world so she loves helping other people travel while I get to have sleepovers with friends.
