Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of animals of all kinds from a young age, including dogs, cats, birds, rodents, and more. I worked professionally for a doggy daycare for three years, during that time I worked with 30+ dogs in a yard at a time, and I was promoted to a shift lead and given medication administration permission. I have cared for dogs of all needs and sizes. I have had a passion for training dogs since I was a teenager and would be happy to (with your full permission) help you teach your pup some basics or give them a refresher course on previous training. I would also be more than happy to give extensive updates, videos, and photos, of me and pet’s time with me; as a pet parent myself I understand the anxiety that can come with leaving your fur baby with a stranger and I am more than happy to do whatever may be needed to alleviate some of that stress or worry.

If your dog is a strong puller on the leash, we may have to work together to work on leash behavior and start with shorter walks. I am always prepared to work with reactive dogs, if there are routes in your area that you take to avoid other dogs or people, let me know so I can make your pup and my time together as comfortable and productive as possible.
A typical day
If your dog is long lead safe, I love to play fetch with my dog using a long lead if a large yard space isn't available, and I would gladly play the same game with your pup. Something I also do with my pup is puzzle games to help keep his mind sharp. One of his favorites is scavenger hunts I hide treats in easy places to get to but he has to use his nose to find it. If you also have a high-drive dog I would be happy to do both mental and physical exercises with them. With one small caveat I can't do running for walks. But there are lots of ways to exercise a dog both mentally and physically. So if your dog has any favorites I would love to know.

Availability
I am currently taking an online course for video editing but otherwise, I have an extremely flexible schedule. I am available all weekdays and most weekends. Mid to late day would be preferred for walks but for drop-ins and in-your-home pet-sitting, I am very flexible for scheduling.
