Pet care experience
I grew up helping take care of anywhere between 5-8 cats my entire life. After I went to college, my parents got a mid-sized dog and I've been helping take care of him when I visit once or twice a year for 10 years. I lived for a year with a partner and helped her care for a 12-13 year old Dachshund. I've now lived next door to two friends with a mid-sized dog for 2 years and have taken care of him a number of times while they're away on travel.

Eli took great care of Tutu. He shared updates on Tutu while we were away which we really appreciated.
Eli took excellent care of Nico. He just enough photos and text updates to keep us in the loop, but not so many as to be annoying. A Nico was feeling great when we got home, so the job was well done!

A typical day
I'm an avid runner and enjoy running with dogs. When I take dogs to the park, I often play fetch with them and chase after them pretending to try to get the ball from them, which I've found many dogs enjoy quite a bit.

Availability
I just received my PhD and will begin a full-time fellowship in September. In the meantime, I will be unemployed and should have a significant amount of availability.
