Big yard, love, airport convenient!
Pet care experience
My husband, Greg, and I each have over a decade of dog ownership and dog care experience. Greg has always had big dogs, and I've had a mix of small dogs and big dogs. I also used to foster and jog the dogs at APA and I have experience with leash/dog reactive dogs (per dog home visit/walk clients). Together, we have two sweet, playful dogs (50 lb & 80 lb) that love going swimming and playing in our big, fenced backyard. Greg and I look forward to our daily dog walks together at Mueller Lake park where we catch up on each other's day, share things we learned and brainstorm about our futures. We like to keep things consistent with the dogs as far as routine and obedience goes. The dogs expect a lot of cuddles, comfort, and companionship from us, and we love to give it!
Reviews
Elexia and Greg took great care of my energetic cuddle bug and made sure she had her exercise. They were flexible with me when it came to pickup/drop off. I got plenty of pics and peace of mind. Would 100% recommend. Gracias :)
Great dog caretaker! Elexia was really accommodating and it was wonderful for our dog to have a playmate while we’re out.
Elexia and her pups are great and my pup came back exhausted from the playtime. Def. could have used some more communication and pics during his stay - didn't get much and had to ask for it.
Elexia and Greg are fantastic. Highly recommend

We have a large, double fenced back yard. The dogs are always on leash when we go out in public. And the dogs have their own seat belts in the car. If you want us to crate your dog or not take them on field trips, feel free to let us know!

Information Elexia L. would like to know about your pet
FOR SAFETY REASONS, please COMPLETE your Rover profile BEFORE Meet and Greets or confirmed bookings (including photos of your dog(s), photos of yourself, care instructions, dog personality profile, etc). Additional questions: Do they have a strong prey drive? Are they okay with larger dogs? Are they house trained? Do they have separation anxiety?
A typical day
We usually walk about 2-2.5 miles around the Mueller Park area. Occasionally, we like to go on hikes on nature trails around town. I love taking the dogs walking on Town Lake trail and swimming at the Barton Springs spillway on occasion. Let me know if you prefer your dog to not go on car rides or walks until they know me better, if at all. As a parent myself, I understand and know it can be hard to be away from your pup! We have huge backyard with shade from big oak trees, I'm out there often in the garden. We have chickens, but they are in a separate yard so the dogs don't get any ideas. We have plenty of treats, bullhorns and antlers for chewing and dog beds to nap on. My profile says that we don't allow dogs on furniture or beds, but don't worry if your dog(s) is used to being on furniture. For our own dogs, we treat it as a privilege because they take it and run with it sometimes, ha! We just keep it to a minimum. But if your dog feels safer and more comfortable being close to us at night or while we lounge because they miss you, of course, we'll give them what they need! But, if you don't allow your pets on the furniture in your own home, let us know and we'll be sure to not break them of that habit.
