Pet care experience
Drop your furry friend off with me for a fun-filled vacation while you are away! Having grown up working on an active farm, animals have been the focus of my life since I can remember. I am incredibly comfortable with them, big and small, and have trained ill tempered dogs and horses. Since moving to California I haven’t been able to have my own pet, but constantly house sit and care for friend’s. I am a loving, active caretaker and will treat your dog as my own while they are staying with me. While I will be the main caretaker of your pet(s), my partner, Daniel, lives with me and often helps me out. I have experience training puppies and older rescue dogs.

I have a well sized apartment to accommodate your dog and will be with them almost the entire time they stay with me. When I go out typically Daniel will stay with them so they won’t be left alone especially if they have separation anxiety. There is a dog park nearby and lots of hiking trails. I have always lived with dogs so gate the kitchen when they are staying with the me and keep food out of reach. I am very considerate and will always leave your home cleaner than I found it if Housesitting for you.

Please let me know the energy level and your dog’s typical schedule when they are with you. I will try to keep them on a routine similar to yours so they can feel as comfortable and safe as possible while with me. Pease let me know if you would like me to run with your dog. If your dog has any medications or special needs please let me know in advance so I can plan for their accommodation.
A typical day
While caring for your dog I will devote my time to them. Each day I will take them on at least an hour long hike or bring them to the dog park to play. They will get morning and evening walks around the neighborhood and to nearby parks. I have access to a fully fenced in soccer field that I often take energetic dogs out to play off leash later in the day. If you are looking for a drop in visit I can do longer than 1 hour for an additional $8 per hour.

Availability
I am a part time student, and spend most of my time hiking or at home studying. When caring for your animal they will be the focus of my day. They will only be left alone for 1 - 2 hours total when I am attending a class. Every day I will take them on at least an hour long hike if they are up for it. Daniel is a recent graduate from Berkeley. With them, I can typically take care of puppies and more high maintenance dogs that cannot be left alone for any period of time. While I will be the primary caretaker and contact, they are often around and helping out so I wanted to make sure my clients know they are background checked and also a dog lover.
