I’ve literally been around dogs my entire life and wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’ve had everything from a 5 pound chihuahua to a 125 pound Rottweiler and everything in between. I have experience giving medications and physical help when needed (my Rottweiler had knee surgery) as well as just dealing with special limitations to accommodate weird quirks that some dogs have. I have no prejudices against any breeds, and actually tend to gravitate towards the “bully breeds” myself. I’m in a PhD program at UH so a couple days a week I go into town for a few hours, but for the most part I’m working from home all day with my dog Mia (who gets along with every person and every dog she meets). While I’m home your fur baby will be loose playing with Mia or sleeping on the furniture, but while I’m out of the house I will require that they can be kenneled. I love taking my dog on hikes and will happily bring yours along with us if you want. And don’t worry, I tend to overheat here probably faster than your dog does so I always make sure I have plenty of ice water for me and the dogs.
