To Whom It May Concern This is a letter to certify that Eleanor participated in the internship program at Cheetah Experience for a 3 month period, ending December 6th 2022. During the internship Eleanor was involved in various different tasks including: • General Animal Husbandry including food preparation and feeding, slaughtering of meat/food hygiene, enclosure cleaning and maintenance, electric fence/perimeter fence checking, animal behaviour observations. • Animal Enrichment program, creating and implementing different enrichments for a variety of species. • Animal handling, reading and responding appropriately to animal behaviour of both adults and youngsters. • Monitoring health of the animals on a daily basis. • Training as an Educational Tour Guide, guiding visitors around the facility. • Observing and assisting with record keeping such as studbook management, local wildlife, health etc • Conservation related research The animals taken care of included, but were not limited to, cheetahs, lions, tiger, caracals, puma, leopards, wolves, spotted hyena, servals, genets, African wildcats, foxes, rescue chickens and goats. Eleanor was very reliable and worked extremely well in a group environment as well as on her own. She showed great initiative regardless of the given task and her polite and friendly personality meant she was always easy to get along with. No task was too big or too small and she was always one of the first to put herself forward to assist with any task. She approached all activities with boundless determination and skill, and always with enthusiasm. She continually strived to learn and improve herself. She was responsible and hardworking and was truly dedicated to the welfare and care of all of the animals here at Cheetah Experience.
