Pet care experience
To me, pets are part of the family! I've cared for my own cats, dogs, and other creatures my entire life, even nursing them through recovery from surgery. Outside my home, I've volunteered at the local Humane Society and the vet hospital on my undergrad college campus. I am happy to spend quiet time with senior dogs or engage with the playful energy of a puppy! I’ve owned a German Shepherd and a Husky mix and I've spent extensive time with other family members' dogs so I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, from teacup to Titan. Cats have been a part of my family my entire life so I really enjoy caring for them as well. I love to be around animals and will look forward to walks almost as much as your dog will!

One of my favorite parts about walking dogs is when the pups realize that every time I show up, they get to go on an adventure! I have lots of experience leashing and harnessing excited dogs. I’m happy to use whatever treats or training methods you prefer to help us have the best time possible out on our walk!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs so that I can care for them in the best way! I’d also love to know their favorite thing to do on walks and how they typically behave on a leash. Every pup has a different personality, and the better I know them, the more fun we can have while keeping everyone safe!
A typical day
Walks and play time are a great way for dogs to expend their physical and mental energy. I love to give dogs plenty of time to sniff and explore when we’re out walking - they get the neighborhood news through their nose! I also have so much fun trying new games with pups and am amazed at how many dogs can figure out things like hide and seek with their toys.

Eleanor can watch in your home
Availability
I am currently available every weekday. I work from home and all but a few of my meetings are flexible on time. If your pup is in need of a mid-day break while you’re at work, I can be there. Or maybe they’re in need of some more exercise and snuggles before bedtime while you’re on a night shift. I take one long weekend out of town each month, but other than that, my availability is very consistent.
