I have grown up and around dogs and animals for 24 years, my first pet being a large yellow Lab called Charlie. Throughout that time I have also owned 2 guinea pigs and 2 rabbits. In my teenage years I helped my mum look after about a dozen foster Labrador's, who were sent to us from a small dogs charity. These dogs ranged from being young puppies whose owners could no longer control, to dogs who had been abused and/or neglected. This was super rewarding but also upsetting when they were permanently re-homed. My university years were more focused on caring for Staffordshire Bull Terriers (cross breeds). I used Borrow My Doggy for a while and also lived with a Staffie/Pitbull mix called Oki who my housemate rescued from euthanasia. I developed a close friendship with her and still visit her in London when I can. Since living and working in Central London, I haven't had the chance to spend much time with dogs. I live with two other friends who are all dog fans. Even though I have a full time job (9-5:30), I work 4 days a week and am permanently remote. I live 2 minutes away from a spacious dog friendly park so he/she can socialise. I am fit and active, so can walk your dog for long distances if required. My best availability would be to dog sit/board once per week and/or dog sit/board over the weekend.
