Pet care experience
They get lots of attention and get spoiled. I've always had dogs. I do not currently have a dog. I used to sit my son's dog daily at his home. I also have dog sat for several friends' and neighbors' dogs. I have gone to people's homes and dogs have stayed overnight. If dogs are anxious, I give them special attention. I have had two German Shepherds and an Australian Kettle mutt. I once cared for a dog who had cancer. He was boarded in my home for at least 10 days. He wore diapers and required a lot of extra care. I am very patient and caring and my schedule is flexible to accommodate a pet. I'm also usually available when an owner is in a bind and needs immediate dog care.

Elana took care of our dog Pearl, and did a wonderful job. We were gone for 4 nights, and she provided us with updates each day which included adorable pictures! I always use a lease when walking the dog or letting the dog outside. If I need to go out, my husband is available to watch the dog for 1-2 hours while I'm gone. If we both need to be gone, the dog needs to be comfortable staying alone in a different environment for up to 3-4 hours. Your pet gets lots of attention in my care and I do everything I can to maker him/her feel comfortable.

The dog should be potty trained and not aggressive and less than 20 lbs. I like the owner to provide contact information and the vet number. Also, any information about their pet would be helpful. A crate is not necessary but helpful. Pets are no longer allowed on the bed but are permitted on the furniture.
A typical day
We have a park behind our home. Also, there are many places in this area to walk a dog. I would often play with the dog with his toys and toys I already have.

Availability
I am retired and have a flexible schedule to be available for pet care. Your dog will get lots of attention during their stay with me. Usually I only accept requests no longer than a 4 day stay, but will make exceptions with repeat clients.
