Pet care experience
My family has owned a dog since before I was born and I was often responsible for making sure she was taken care of. Friends and neighbors have trusted me to take care of their animals, ranging in species from cats and dogs to horses and fish! I have experience feeding, walking, and washing animals.

Elana is a great worker and loves animals! She has taken care of my energetic, 75 lb boxer mix multiple times when I've been gone and he has come to love her. She is kind, gentle, responsible, and is a great helper. She is very thorough and walks him for a while instead of just letting him out for five minutes on the leash. She would also update me on when she went over and would send me pictures to let me know how he was doing. Not only does she do a great job, she genuinely loves hanging out with him!
We recently had a terrific experience with our pet sitter Elana who cared for our pet while we were out of town for four days. She not only tended to Tippy's food and water, but also hung out, relaxing playing and loving on her. Elana kept us posted checking in from time to time, texting to let us know all was well and taken care of (just like she said she would). So it was a trip with one less worry... Elana was responsible and reliable while also being caring and loving. We will certainly request her services again in the future!

Please let me know in advance if your dog has any specific needs, including medication or food. I also want to honor any house rules you may have so let me know if your dog is/is not allowed on furniture, upstairs, in the bathroom, etc. during house visits. I would also like to know any pertinent personality traits such as if your dog is shy, aggressive, friendly, energetic, or anything else that is necessary to know. Every dog is different and I want to make sure yours has the best experience they can possibly have!
A typical day
I love to play with dogs of all energy levels to make sure they get the exercise they need - whether that’s a game of tug o’ war, a game of fetch, or a long walk. We will most likely start out playing with your dog’s favorite toys to make sure they are comfortable, then move on to a neighborhood walk or a different game.

Your pet will be my top priority! I am working a part time job, which is why housesitting is my preference, but my schedule is very flexible right now. I have availability all summer, but see my schedule to check specific dates!
