Pet care experience
For the last 20 years I’ve been working as a family assistant helping with childcare, pet care, housesitting, nannying, organizing, personal chef work and personal assistant work…you name it! I’ve worn many hats! I recently joined Rover to bring in some extra income. I love going above and beyond to make life easier for others. I’m friendly and thoughtful with a pleasant demeanor. Animals and babies flock to me, I’ve been called “millennial Martha Stewart” and “Mary Poppins” by previous employers. Excellent references, non-smoker, sturdy car and clean driving record, ultra flexible schedule (current grad student mostly online asynchronous). Reliable care at your service! Elana is an enormous lover of animals, and an excellent choice for pet care. She has experience with a variety of different canines and felines from all sorts of different backgrounds, and has raised numerous well-behaved and people-loving pets of her own. Most importantly, she’s is enthusiastic, thoughtful, and accommodating when it comes to any type of special requests you might have or special care your pet needs. The only reason I might not recommended Elana is that your pet will surely be sad when it’s time to say “au revoir.”
Elana B. can do it all! Pet-sitter is just one of her many talents! She has watched my pets for 9 years and I never have to worry about them. Honest, friendly and will love your animal(s). Highly recommend.

I’ll pay close attention to the particular needs of your animals, keeping them to the routines they’re used to and making sure they’re safe and stay in tip top health while you’re gone. I’ll stay mindful of allergies and any notable behaviors, as well as favorite treats and guidelines.
A typical day
Along with endless joyful cuddles and sweet talk, I’ll make sure your pets play fun games that keep them mentally engaged and get lots of fresh air and exercise as appropriate. I also love taking pictures to share with owners while they’re away!

Availability
I am a grad student at UVA (getting my MA in Educational Psychology) and only have class in person on Monday evening for a couple hours and Thursday evening for an hour. Other than that, I work remotely and have tons of availability/flexibility!
