I am a lifelong dog enthusiast living in Gig Harbor. I am in search of rewarding jobs that allow me to express my passion for animals. I have a seven year old golden retriever named Leila that I have raised myself from an 8 week old pup. I have also worked most recently at Mud Bay, a holistic pet supply store. During my three years there, I was able to interact with dogs of all ages, breeds, temperaments and sizes on a daily basis. I enjoyed creating meaningful relationships with pets and their owners and helping them with all their pet needs. Additionally, I have been well trained in pet health and behavior, taking courses through Mud Bay as part of their continuous education program. Most recently, I left Mud Bay to travel the United States over the course of three months. Now that I am back in Gig Harbor, I am searching for part time pet sitting and walking work with flexible hours. I am available for sitting jobs in your home, drop ins, and walks. As a traveling sitter, I prefer jobs within a 20 mile radius of Gig Harbor. I have been raised in a family of animal lovers. My mother worked in a pet store part-time when I was a kid and I helped out around the store after school. In my lifetime I have cared for countless animals in my home, including two Cocker Spaniels, one Springer Spaniel, an Australian Cattle dog, and a Golden Retriever. I have also had cats, birds, fish, reptiles and a rabbit, so I'm comfortable caring for other animals as well. Our pets have all lived long, happy and healthy lives. I have experience with both puppies/kittens and elderly pets and administering medications. Why I love dog sitting My history with dogs begins before I can remember. I was born into a home with a dog and I have had one ever since. My family and I have always had pets, ranging from dogs to cats, snakes, fish, birds, a tortoise, hamsters, a rabbit, and a chinchilla. We are all animal lovers and live to share our memories with the animals that enrich our lives. I have found my work in the pet industry to be incredibly rewarding and a job I sincerely enjoy. My experience administering medication I will require proper instructions for administration and dosage information and I am comfortable with this task.
