Pet care experience
New to Rover but not new to animal care! Growing up on a farm in Sebastopol, I've been tasked in animal care from a very young age. My experience in animal care is vast from caring for our own family dogs and cats, horses and livestock and expands to caring for neighbors, friends and family's pets which can also include dogs, cats, horses, cows, sheep/goats, chickens and more. My husband and I have two dogs: Captain, a 4 year old rescue and Bethany, our 3.5 year old guardian dog. These two are inseparable and the most special duo in our lives.

My husband would say that my dogs are very spoiled (with the required manners, of course!) However, I treat my dogs as family, they are included in almost everything we do and any animal that comes to stay with us is treated no different. In your home, I strive to make each animal as comfortable as possible while following preexisting training protocols and safety requirements. Rest assured that your pets will be left happy and healthy!

All dogs and cats have their quirks, as they should. Are they food aggressive? Dog aggressive? Anxious? High strung? A chewer? A barker? A jumper? Regardless of what habits or needs they have, just let me know so I can provide the care they need to keep them safe (along with others) and comfortable as possible!
A typical day
I'm all for hugs, kisses and treats but I do find it very important to make sure my dogs understand boundaries. If you want your dog loved on with strictly fun and exciting visit, let's do it! But, if you would like for me to adhere to your preferred commands for your pets, I'm happy to display those as well. Living in Sebastopol, I am lucky to live close to Ragle Park and take advantage of their many nature trails which provide ample sniff opportunities and exercise. If your dog is comfortable and familiar with the dog park, I'm happy to bring them. However, I do prefer to take them in private walking journeys to ensure their safety.

I am an online student obtaining my Bachelor's degree which provides me with the time to spend with my animals and yours! Daytime availability throughout the week and weekend.
