Pet care experience
Hello I am Eirik. I am from the top of Norway but I have more or less become and honourable Yorkshireman after living in Leeds for 25+ years.. Rain, wind or sunshine, cold or warm weather, I am always happy to go on walkies wit my 4 legged friends. Needless to say, I love dogs and a happy dog makes me happy too. I have been living with and looking after dogs the last 4-5 years. Last years I attended puppy school while looking after 'Vega', my sister' 3 month old Dutch spaniel puppy which was incredibly interesting and fun. I have also regularly look after 'Bobsy', a 12.5 year old border collie cross the last 5 years. Due to his age, Bobsy can't do the long hikes in Dales anymore but he is still very playful and still loves to go for a swim and to chase sticks which is brilliant. I don't have a car but I have most days free so I can travel on foot or on public transport to the dog owners home or an arranged pick up/drop off point.
Reviews
I could not have asked for a better experience, Eirik has been absolutely amazing from start to finish, I could not recommend him enough to care for your dog. We did a meet & greet prior to him looking after Wilma my young & lively Cavapoo, he was very quick to respond to my messages on rover & agreed to look after Wilma at quite short notice. Wilma took to Eirik straight away, it was obvious that Eirik really cared and wanted to give Wilma the best time during her stay with him. We received regular updates, pictures and videos whilst she was on walks & in Eirik’s home , Wilma was so happy & exhausted from all the lovely walks that Eirik had taken her on. We will 100% be asking Eirik to look after Wilma again, he is a lovely man who really cares for your fur baby. Five stars all the way..!!
Experienced and calm with my troublesome spaniel. Eirik gave Flapjack great off the lead walks. Excellent and clear communication. Will book again.
Eirik was great with our dog and sent regular updates.
Eirik seems very in tune with making dog and owner feel they are in safe hands. It's a bit daunting leaving your fur baby with someone you don't know, but I felt very reassured by Eirik's manner and ability with Oscar and I got several updates to let me know all was well. He opened up his hime to Oscar and gave him chance to explore, before taking him on an evening walk. We have already booked again.

I live in a flat with a small front garden but I very close to Beckett and Meanwood Park. I regularly look after my friends dog and he stays overnight in my flat. Depending of the dog's need, I'll be happy for any dog to stay in my flat for day care and overnight. I am of course also happy to go to the dog owners house.

Information Eirik S. would like to know about your pet
Knowing the individual needs of a dog is important. If the dog is good with other dogs and recall is good to know before letting the dog off the lead. I am sure the dog owners will let me know the special requirements for the dog before the first meet.
A typical day
Taking the dog for a walk in the local park and woods. Letting the dog sniff around and play in water and with a stick or a ball. The personality of each individual dog will obviously decide which activity to do with the dog.

Availability
I currently have a lot of spare time so my availability is almost 24/7. I don't have a car but I am happy to go the dog owners house on foot or on public transport for pick up/drop off of the fog
