I am a stay at home Mom with a lifetime of dog training experience. Our dog Lily is a trained service animal for my sons who have autism. We homeschool our 5 kids, enabling us to be home to care for your special pet day and night while you are away. We are available for boarding and individualized training services. We know how to give healthy guidance when needed to redirect behaviors with positive training. This is a family job in which both my husband and I as well as our children like to get involved. One of us is always walking a dog, bathing a dog or just giving a tummy rub. It is a truly a vacation for any pooch. We focus on giving each dog what it needs, this may include downtime to decompress after a play session, or a special bone to help ease the tension of being in a new environment. About this sitter: I am a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who now stays at home to homeschool our kids. I work as a dog trainer and life coach. Surprisingly I do find a crossover between people and animal training! I have worked with dogs, horses and other animals since I was a young child on our family farm in Canada. I have most recently trained my son's autism service dog Lily. Our household is one of a lot of love and happy children and dogs:) We are NOT a kennel, we are a home environment. Why I love dog sitting I grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada. Dogs , cats and horses were always around. Animals were my first love. I've always felt a special bond with them. That bond increased even more as I had my children and I saw how therapeutic animals were for kids. My sons have autism and we have trained an autism service dog to help attend to their social needs. Meet my pets Lily our 5 year old service dog for kids on the autism spectrum and is a joy to all who meet her. She is a 39 lb standard poodle. Her temperament is playful, silly and light. About my yard We have a fully secure fenced in yard with a nice set of grass to romp on as well as cool shady areas mixed with sun. My experience administering medication Yes. Though I stay at home now as a homeschool mom, I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse.
