Hi - I'm Eileen and I have always loved animals and have always had a dog. I have always lived in the Portland Or. area and would love to come and help take care of your loved one. I have trained many dogs and have had therapy working dogs. My current dog is a retired therapy golden retriever. She was raised in an apartment and now lives on acreage and I taught her to swim and play with other dogs. Now she sees a water puddle and heads straight to it. I am in the process of retiring and moving back to the Portland area and would love to help you have peace of mind while you are away from your furry family member. I am good with all kinds of dogs, big or small, young or old. Medical issues are no problem; puppy training, no problem. I can stay with your pup and take care of your home at the same time.

Eileen-awesome as always!!!
We felt very comfortable leaving our 8 year old pug, Monkey, with Eileen over the weekend. She kept in contact with us (thanks for the photos!) and everything was in order when we returned home. I don't think that Monkey even noticed we were gone, because Eileen has a very comforting presence for animals. We look forward to having her sit for us again soon!

I don't have a breed preference. I have had both large and small dogs. I always want to know about the dogs personality, favorite toys/games. medical issues, food issues if any. Does your dog go in cars well, dog parks, and walks? are they social?
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog Since I am retired, your dog will be my priority while you are away. I would be away for shopping, or appointments should they come up. otherwise, either most of the day or as long/short as you would like. Extra house-sitting services Of course i can do additional tasks while caring for both your dog and home. I am a home owner and would expect anyone to respect my home in the same. It is always nice to come home to a nice place and being comfortable knowing you really don't have to worry about it.

Why I love dog sitting I was raised with dogs and have been training them since grade school and 4-H. I have always been to state with my dogs. I have always had an innate way of dealing with dogs from pups, to active teenagers and the seniors. I believe in taking my time and being firm, fair and consistent.
