Ed was my roommate for well over a year, and frequently took care of my cat ZuZu when I was away, or honestly sometimes even when I was home and trapped on long work calls! He is an extremely attentive caregiver, always tracking on a pet’s unique food/behavior habits. He made sure ZuZu got plenty of play time every single day, and always started her day with a pristine litter box at her disposal. Speaking of play time, he was incredibly meticulous about making sure ZuZu (a playful 1 year old at the time) had diverse outlets… if he started with a laser pointer, he’d be sure to switch it up to another toy she could physically “get” later on so that she’d feel satisfied! And of course, he was always happy to give her attention in the form of pets, lap sits, or belly rubs whenever she was feeling snuggly and requested them. His lap was a favorite spot of hers for good reason! That sort of consistent and conscientious care made Ed a natural choice for ZuZu’s stand in caretaker. He extended the same care to Herbie, an extremely energetic goldendoodle that also lived in our home. It was no secret that Ed was deeply beloved by both of the animals in our shared home. I also know he was a frequent babysitter for his sister’s Australian shepherd, who loved to walk and play with Ed whenever he visited. Tldr: Ed is the best. You could not ask for someone more responsible and invested to attentively look after your pets!
