I love all types of toe-beans 🐾

Pet care experience

I've taken care of both dogs and cats throughout my whole life. I'm very comfortable with dogs of every size and breed as well as more exotic pets like rodents, reptiles and ferrets.

I've had a great experience with Edy. I have a barely 1 year old Newfoundland pup and he is a huge cuddle bug. I swear he thinks he's a lap dog. This became a problem when some sitters were not into the idea of a 100+ lbs pup trying to cuddle them or sit on them. Understandable but still broke my hear. Milo is my baby. Edy , on the other hand, didn't seemed faced by it. I was so glad to see her genuinely enjoy all of Milo's antics. She's been my to go sitter for a bit now. I definitely recommend Edy for your fur baby. You won't regret it!

Edy is such a sweet girl. She's always so loving with, my 2 year old Jack Russell, Missy. I've been having her over for almost a year now whenever I work late to take Missy out for a walk, feed her and play with her and so far I have no complains whatsoever. As long as she is still available, I'm definitely going to keep having Edy as Missy's care taker.

Edy is great with animals. She's very caring with them. She was so patient with Maestro, my iguana. I was a bit worried when I went on a business trip because he was still a baby and a bit of a picky eater. It was a bit frustrating because he just wouldn't eat but Edy handled it amazing. She took great care of him, got him to eat, drink water and I even got pictures of them two cuddling on the couch haha

Safety, trust & environment

When I first arrive at my clients house I make sure to greet the pet. It helps me asses the situation and make sure that they are okay in all sense of the word. It also helps the pet realize that I'm not a threat in their territory and that I'm here to play, feed them, give pets and cuddles, keep them company and to take care of all their needs. Then I proceed according to the care instructions given to me by the pet's owner.

Information Edith R. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I should know about. I'd love to know the following so I can better care for your furry baby: - How active are they? Do they love walks or runs? - Are they energetic? Do I need to come prepared to tire them out? - Are they shy or outgoing? Are they ok with letting strangers pet them? - How are they with other dogs/animals? - Is there anything in particular they like to eat (that they shouldn't) while they're out for a walk? If there's anything I missed, please let me know! The more I know about the pup, the better we can play together!

A typical day

Depending on the dog I'll be caring for, we can play games to get them moving or thinking. Working the brain is just as important as the body. We can also go for a run or just take a relaxing walk around their neighborhood. For a lot of dogs, using their nose and exploring can be super reward and relaxing so as long as it is safe for them I love letting them stop and smell all they want to. I'm not afraid to walk in the grass with them as long as the pups are enjoying themselves.

I'm a freelance Spanish<>English interpreter and translator which leaves me with a flexible schedule to fit pet care into. I sit at a desk a lot either taking calls or typing away in my computer. My breaks consist of going on my phone or getting something to eat. However, I'd love to instead go out for a nice walk with a furry friend or play or just sit with them and keep them company while their favorite person comes home.
