If your dog loves calmer environments, enjoys peaceful nature time, and thrives with more individualized attention, we may be a great fit! I offer a boutique, low-volume homestay experience in my quiet Encinitas home. With a fenced in backyard for naps and sunning plus a sprawling mile-long greenbelt for long, sniffy walks just steps from my front door, my home is a wonderful, spacious retreat where your dog is seen, heard, and well cared for. I specialize in supporting sensitive, anxious, easily overstimulated, or senior dogs - those who need more presence, not more activity. My approach is rooted in over a decade of experience as a behavioral trainer and therapy dog handler. Alongside my own dog (my certified therapy and training partner!), I've rehabilitated dogs with fear, reactivity, and stress around new environments. Dogs in our care enjoy: - A fenced in backyard for sunning, ball play, and downtime - Long walks through a quiet, mile-long greenbelt filled with birdsong and breezes - Personalized enrichment: toys, supervised play, and structured quiet time - Around the clock care from myself and my assistants - A home that’s clean, calm, and designed with dogs in mind During their stay, your dog will enjoy a balanced rhythm of fun and rest - structured long walks, gentle play, and plenty of quiet time to decompress. This flow allows your dog to feel safe and fulfilled, returning home grounded, happy, and relaxed - not frazzled or overstimulated. If your dog is not as well adjusted (poor leash manners, easily overstimulated, anxious/fearful, etc) we may add a surplus charge to the daily rate to accommodate for the extra training we will need to administer to ensure we have a safe and enjoyable stay for your dog. This may be determined at the time of the meet and greet or during the stay, if undesirable behavior shows up that necessitates training correction to ensure a smooth and safe stay. I only accept potty trained dogs. If a dog is in the process of being potty trained, I am happy to accommodate the process with more frequent potty breaks every hour. Dogs that are potty trained enjoy a potty break every 2-4 hours. If there is an accident, there will be a clean up fee - $35 for a pee accident and $50 for a poo accident.
A typical day
Long nature walks, gentle supervised play, sunbathing in the yard, and plenty of cozy downtime to recharge. A structured schedule of mealtimes, movement, and downtime.

Availability
I work from home on a flexible schedule and accept a very low volume of dogs, so your dog will enjoy a home stay experience. Our earliest drop off time is 7:30 am. Our latest pick up time is 9:30 pm.
